What does a code P0014 mean?

Code 14 is for a problem with the exhaust cam position timing. The problem could be the sensor or the cam may be out of time with the intake cam.

Codes p0014, p0016 and p1810

Code 14 is for a problem with the exhaust cam sensor, code 16 is for a problem with the crank and cam sensor correlation.
Code 1810 is for a problem with a pressure switch, but it is usually inside the transmission and involves the torque converter.

Obd code p0014 on isuzu ascender 2006

Its a cam over-retarded code.

I believe this is a rebranded chevy trailblazer. I would start with an exhaust cam actuator which is located right next to the power steering pump. 90% of the time this will fix the problem. If it does not than it is possible there is an issue with the timing chain or a PCM issue.

2002 chevrolet trailblazer diagnostic code p0013, p0014

Two possibilities, poor electrical connection at the cam position actuator sensor (CPAS) connector or a clogged CPAS. Check connector first for oil residue. The CPAS itself is prone to clog if the oil is not changed at the proper intervals. Unfortunately, the CPAS is a little difficult to remove since access to one of its bolts requires the removal of the power steering pump.

P0014 and p1345 codes

Hello billscranese,

The P0014 is a cam phasing code. The phasing system is a hydraulic actuated phase shifting system and is vulnerable to dirty oil. If its been sometime since your last oil change I would recommend that you start with that. The control module turns off the MIL after 3 consecutive ignition cycles that the diagnostic runs and does not fail.

The P1345 could be caused by the P0014. The powertrain control module monitors the correlation between the crank and cam positions and if the deviation between the two exceeds a predetermined amount it will set the code.

Good luck.

Regards,
netvan
