The single most common cause is a faulty indicator bulb. Failure of any one bulb will effect the way the indicators on that side work

I have 2008 chevy express, the turn signals flash fast, but not able to find a flasher unit. I have checked grounds, bulbs and fuses, all are good

The BCM - body control module controls turn signals . There is no flasher unit . Your best bet would be to take your vehicle to the dealer !
Turn Signal Lamps
The BCM 3, BCM 5, and BCM 6 fuses located in the underhood fuse block supply battery voltage to the body control module (BCM) for turn signal, hazard lamp, and stop lamp operation. Voltage from the BCM 5 fuse used for the front and rear left turn signals, voltage from the BCM 3 for the right front turn signal, while voltage from the BCM 6 fuse is used for the right rear turn signal. When the turn signal switch is place in either the LEFT or RIGHT position, ground from G303 is applied through the turn signal switch signal circuit to the BCM indicating the turn signal request. In response to this signal, the BCM applies a pulsating voltage to the front and rear turn signal lamps supply voltage circuits cycling the lamps ON and OFF. The BCM also sends a message via GMLAN to the instrument panel cluster (IPC) to cycle the turn signal indicator ON and OFF depending on the position of the turn signal switch.

Ignition ON, observe the scan tool Left Turn Signal Switch parameter while using the turn signal/multifunction switch to turn the left turn signal ON and OFF. The reading should change between Active and Inactive.

2007 turn signal flasher location for 2007 sx4

I'd be checking the fuses first. The turn signal flasher should be in the inside fuse panel.

Why wont the left turn signal but the right turn signal and 2005 ascender work

Doing a little research, I found that the turn signal relay has been a problem in that car from around 2003 - 2008, they had a recall on it. So the thing to do is #1 turn on your emergency flashers and walk around the car to make sure all 4 flashers are working, If they are then it's probably your relay going bad, if only the right side works and the left side is still out then you have to look to see if it's out on the front and back of the left side, if it's out on only one corner then it's probably the bulb or related wiring, if it's out on front and back then, again, it's either your relay or if your car is setup like my 2004 Cadillac CTS it may have fuses under the hood of the car in the main relay center and I have a fuse for the left and for the right side separately.

Both my right & left turn signals aren't working but hazards are

If you can locate the hazrd flasher unit under the dash on the drivers side, the turn flasher unit should be right beside it and looks the same. Unplug and switch the 2 flashers and see if the turn signals work. The flasher unit is a silver and round. they are usually close to the stering colum. Let me know if that helps.

Both of the rear turn signals stopped working at the same time, but everything else seems to work. Do you know what can cause this to happen? I changed one of the bulbs and it didn't work.

There is a turn signal flasher under dash...most have a flasher for the emergency signals and one for the turn signals...some have one flasher....but check fuses first...normally it is fuse burnt...if you can locate the flasher normally they will get abnormally warm when bad......it should look like a round or square silver shiney or black cube.........if these are good with ign.on hold turn signal lever down firmly ...if it works replace turn signal unit.....if none of this works you have to troubleshoot wiring...
...normally yellow wire is left turn and green wire is right turn...black or white is ground red is stop light....but normally it is a blown fuse or flasher.

Left turn signal on 1991 Mazda Protege will not work. I changed the bulb and that did not solve the problem. The flashers work and the right turn signal is OK. Just the left turn will not work. Any ideas ?

Could be the switch itself. Pretty easy to replace the whole turn signal switch. I've had the flashers go out also on mine, but mine ended up being the switch. I grabbed one from a recycling yard, cost me less than $20.

the electronic flasher module may be faulty, or you could have blown a fuse

1993 Dodge Shadow...left turn signal won't flash

If the fuses are good and the front and rear bulbs are good, change the flasher for the turn signals, even tho the right is working. If that doesn't fix the problem, it might be in the turn sgnal switch on the steering column.
If both bulbs are good for the backup lights and fuses are good, then the backup light switch, which is screwed into the side of the transmission has to bad.

Can't find the turn signal or emergency flasher fuse for 1998

Conrad, up north.
My protege is a '99. The turn signals and hazard flashers use the same flasher unit. It is located under the dash to the left of the steering wheel and above and a bit to the right right of the driver's side fuse box.
