VN commodore keeps blowing the same fuse to the indicators. It burnt out the relay, which I thought was the problem, but to no avail. Any ideas ?

Fuses keep blowing. Have changed the relay but still happening. Have checked everything I can think of. All was fine, but I thought I would put all new fuses In and they started blowing.... ???

SOURCE: E.E.C fuse keeps blowing in 1991 Ford Explorer

if you replaced fuel pump i would look at backward wiring when replaced and i would start at the source of work if your vehicle was working fine before replacement then 9 out of 10 it will be your fuel pump wireing

sometimes when putting wireing back together the connectors have the missing clip and in turn you can turn the wireing in both directions now where positive is touching the ground on both sides of connector kris kross problem check your work this is crucial use a test light to find the right wires where they go

SOURCE: Left rear brake light stopped working but bulb and fuses are OK.

take the bulb back out have someone sit in car apply brake get your self a circuit tester and check to see if this circuit is carrying efficient 12 volt current! some times in cold weather these bulbs get hot with long period of breaking and when released condensate and rust begins and you get what you have perhaps bad socket! this would be a ideal location to begin and probably end,

I have 2002 vw jetta wagon and it keeps over heating. We have changed the thermostat fuses relays and the heater core connector. We think the water pump is working fine because it has pressure and...

Pressure is not a good indicator of water pump operation. Pressure in the cooling system comes from the heating of the water and its expansion. Jettas come from the factory with plastic impellers on their water pumps. These have a tendency to break and fail, causing overheating issues. Most aftermarket pumps have metal impellers to prevent this from happening. I would seriously consider having the water pump replaced, especially if it is original and you have more than say 60K miles on the car. It's due for a change anyway and may save you your engine. See what this guy had to say about his Jetta.....

first thing to do is to have the alternator checked out as the fuse blowing may indicate an internal short and therefore the battery is not being charged ( 3 starts and needs a jump)

The ECM1 fuse blowing usually indicates that the fuel pump wires shorted inside the tank. If you drop the tank and remove the module, you will probably find the insulation burned off the gray pump wire.

the fuel pump comes on when you turn the key on the starter comes on when you turn all the way to start so i would think the short is in the fuel pump if it blows by just turning the key on
