Sounds like the air vent is plugged and the air in the tank pushing the gas back out instead of being able to breath.

2015 Nissan Pickup Truck, why dose the gas tank gurgle when gas is below half a tank? Done it before, but I don't remember how much gas was in the tank.

These newer cars all run fuel pressure systems that have a return line from the pressure regulator to the tank. Many models run this line to the bottom of the tank to prevent this noise. Also possible you have a bad gas cap or cap seal.

2000 Buick Cen 3.1L no fuel will flow into tank nd what little that do mak a gurgling sound then start backing out nd spilling on ground. It's like pressure in tank is the cause of no flow of gas n

Usually the problem is a restriction in the vent tube in the filler pipe, or the vent on top of the tank. Covering the filler tube with the new style gas nozzle guards can also cause problems.
You have to be able to allow interior pressure to equalize with outside pressure while pumping fuel into the filler tube.

Engine stalls once engine gets hot

Thinking back to those days. Points and capacitor. I would replace the capacitor. Check the points and if they are pitted then definetly a bad capacitor. Is that fuel line
near the exhaust causing hot gasoline and vapor lock?

What's causing the P0456 code?

  • A small leak in any of the EVAP hoses or fuel tank hoses
  • A small leak in the purge valve or vent valve
  • The EVAP Canister may be leaking- be sure fuel cap is sealing good, if in doubt replace fuel cap.

Unable to put gas in at at gas pump

SOUND LIKE EVAP SYSTEM FAILURE.CAUSING EXCESSIVE FUEL PRESSURE VAPORS BUILT UP IN FUEL TANK.TAKE IT TO DEALERSHIP THEY HAVE TO USE DIAGNOSTIC EQUIPMENT TO FIX.THIS IS A LITTLE TRICK TO GET GAS IN TANK BACK OUT SPOUT A LITTLE NOT MUCH TO LET VAPORS ESCAPE WHILE YOU PUMPING GAS.YOU NEED TO FIX.FUEL PRESSURE VAPORS WILL BUILD UP ENOUGH TO BLOW UP FUEL TANK ESPECIALLY ON HOT DAYS.

Fuel-spit back from my 2005 Dodge Durango

WOO stop there is a major recall with the 05 durangos the check valves get stuck they are recalling the gas tanks on thousands of those car. that is a big fire hazard. Go to the dealer I garente ur vehcle is recalled u may have not gotten the notice in the mail yet. Please rate if this helps.

Here is a copy of the dealer recall notice.

2005 (HB) Dodge Durango
NOTE: This recall applies only to the above vehicles built from October 13, 2004
through November 30, 2004 (MDH101300 through 113023).
The fuel tank inlet check valve on about 18,900 of the above vehicles may stick in
the open position. This can cause fuel to spill out of the filler tube when the
vehicle is being refueled. Fuel in the presence of an ignition source can result in a
fire.
The fuel tank inlet check valve must be tested for proper operation. Vehicles with
a sticking check valve must have the fuel tank replaced.
