Like any number of items on motorhomes the builder will use what's available at the time; there is no one make of leveling jacks that they used on that coach. However you should be about to contact a Fleetwood dealer and see is they might have a lead for them. American Eagle are the high end coaches by Fleetwood. What is it you're trying to do with your jacks? The jacks themselves are pretty basic; they're like a number of other hydraulic cylinders in the principals of how they operate. There are times that if you look for generic hydraulic parts they are cheaper, or better quality (or lower depending on the original build).

It took Mercon Dextron III.

Of course, MD IV, V or Mutli-Vehicle would be better (the new multi-vehicle formula is what is being widely recommended by all nowadays).

Your Alero does not have a transmission dip stick. You do not need to check it unless it starts leaking.

I need to lift up my 1993 eagle vision to change the front tires but don't know where to place the jack. my bottom is rusting so i want to be sure i'm on the frame

Look in your Owners Manual for the Recommended Jacking Points for your vehicle, Each vehicle is different so (one point specific point for all vehicles) does not always apply.

Have a 1989 Fleetwood pace arrow thats been sitting for six years. Batteries are dead the owner does not know where the keys are. SO two things how to get the front jacks up with no power. Will they go up...

The leveling jacks are hydraulic and will need battery power but the vehicle does not need to be running. Cheapest way out for the ignition switch would probably be a local locksmith. It should run maybe $60-$80 to have a new key cut without the need to remove the ignition lock.

What transmission fluid can I use in my 1993 Mercedes Benz 190E

AF3 onepx.gif DEXRON®-III Automatic Transmission Fluid
BMW: Power steering use AF3; Models with combined power steering,
hydraulic brake booster, self-leveling suspension system use SLF
Mercedes-Benz: Use only manufacturer approved fluid

Look on the back of the bottle of fluid you are looking to buy, if it does not say is is approved by MB, don't use it.

Need to know what kind of power steering fluid to use?

Your car, being a 735 iL (the iL being the key here) requires what is called Pentosin 7.1. This is a mineral based hydraulic fluid used in BMW's with self leveling suspension. Since your car is an iL you have self leveling suspension. Not a lot of parts stores carry this fluid. NAPA has it, if it's not on the shelf they can order it. BMW dealers also stock it. The same pump that runs your self leveling also runs your power stearing and they are filled in the same location as they share a common resivoir. This resivoir is located in the engine compartment on the driver's side and looks like a black bottle with a screw type cap.

Could be:

1. Wrong fluid. Cheap, Just have it serviced with a fluid change.

2. Not enough fluid. Cheap. Go to parts store and add some according to owners manual.

3. Bad fluid. Too old or burnt. Have the fluid changed.

4. Transmission is about to go out. Very expensive.

some manufactures have chosen not to put dipsticks on their vehicles, being if it is not leaking the level will not go down. thus if you don't see a leak there is no reason to check the fluid level. mike

Lost all power steering fluid and brakes

Hi Salmancasmi,
On vehicles with a hydraulic booster you will find that the power steering pump supplies fluid through bot the steering gear box and the hydraulic booster.
Just a visual inspection of the system should point you to the part that failed, most likely a hose. These can be obtained through your local parts store or dealership.
Locate and replace the failed part, refill the reservoir with power steering fluid. With the front of the truck on jack stands, start the truck and turn the steering wheel from full left to full right several times while pumping the brakes. This will remove the air from the system. Recheck for leaks and fluid level and you'll be on your way.
Hope that helps, good luck.

I HAD THE SAME PROBLEM. I LOOKED IT UP IN THE HAYNES MANUAL IT SAID YOU HAVE TO JACK THE CAR UP LEVEL, AND THERE IS A PLUG ON THE SIDE OF THE TRANSMITION, YOU TAKE IT OUT IF FLUID COMES OUT THEN YOU ARE GOOD.
