SOURCE: where is the blower motor relay located on a 1997

There are 2 relays for the blower. The low blower relay and the high blower relay. They are both located
under the hood in the center of the firewall.
The low will have 4 wires from it, one lt. blue and 3 brown. The high will have 5 wires 1 purple(to blower mtr.) 1 black 1 dk blue 1 red and 1 orange.
Also, the blower resistor is in the same area if needed. Hope this helps.

Where is my blower motor resistor located in a 1992 buick lesabre?

your blower motor is on the firewall side underneath that big row of main fuses. You have to remove the 10 mm bolts holding that panel to the firewall and it will pull forward.

1992 buick le sabre blower motor resistor location

If your Buick has "automatic HVAC" (you set a temp and it stays there) you do not have a resistor but a electronic controller. The common failure on these is the blower stays on when the key is turned off. In either case, the part is usually located on the engine side of the duct work. it will have wires/connectors and be in the airflow of the blower.

94 Buick lesabre, new blower motor and new control module. Blower stays on even with key out of ignition. What could be the issue? Relay or control module?

The only way for the blower to still get power with the key off...means the resistor to the blower motor is bad...The resistor is located on the firewall...under the plastic shroud...this should fix your problem...nice Buick...:)

92 lesabre blower motor resistor

It sounds like the switch is stuck on the lowest setting. However that dosen't matter because the blower resistor and switch are usually in the same housing. Remove A/C / heater panel and it should be located right behind nob.

There are actually two possibilities for your issue. First is the blower motor resistor as you stated as a possibility. The blower motor resistor is usually located inside the blower motor housing unless the blower motor is mounted horizontally and is accessible from the engine bay (which I do not believe is the case in your Buick) in which case the blower motor resistor is going to be located in close proximity to the motor.

The other possibility is that the ignition switch is going bad. Now, this may seem strange at first, but GM ran much of the power for the accessories through the ignition switch and as a result, carbon builds up on the contacts and starts to affect the operation of the accessories. However, I dont think this is the case in your issue as that is normally accompanied by issues with other accessories like the radio and such.

I think it is more likely that the blower motor resistor is bad in your case. I believe your blower motor is located on the passenger side, against the firewall close to the center console. If you contort yourself in a way where you can look at the bottom of the blower motor housing you may see a connector on the bottom, or a small access panel. If so, that is likely the blower motor resistor.
