How can I return a 2007 Kia Optima power seat back rest to position if the swich isn't working?

You can try jumping the seat motors with a power probe at the connectors under the seat. But you would need a wire diagram to know what you are jumping. You could also jump the switch but again you would need the diagram. if you don't know what to jump serious damage could occur.

3rd Row Seat will not power

if there was a shoe stuck and you try to prees the swith more than once so it was stuck and you was trying to force it to go so that can cause a mechanical damage with the seat motor so you need to replace the motor with a new one

  • Search for one of the most common troubles in power seats: inspect the seat rails and the area under the seat with a flashlight and make sure there are no objects obstructing or preventing seat movement.

  • Inspect the fuse or circuit breaker if both front power seats fail to op

  • Turn on the ignition switch, but do not start the engine. Operate the power seat switch and listen for the motor running under the failed seat. If you do not hear any sound coming from the motor, lift the switch from the door panel or the side of the seat.
  • Check for incoming voltage at the switch using a test light. If there is no voltage, check the wiring between the switch and the fuse panel for an open or short.
  • Unplug the switch and test it for continuity using a multimeter. If there is no continuity, replace the switch.
  • Test the relay if your circuit has one between the switch and the failed motor. Operate the switch and make sure the relay is receiving voltage from the switch; also, test for outgoing voltage from the relay to the motor using a test light. Make sure the relay is properly grounded. Remove or move the seat to the side if possible for this test. If one of the voltages is not present, check that part of the wire for an open or short. If there is no outgoing voltage, test the relay for proper operation and replace it if necessary.
  • Check for incoming voltage at the failed motor or motors using a test light. If there is no incoming voltage, test the wire or wires for continuity between the motor and switch or relay, looking for an open or a short.
  • Unplug the failed motor and test it outside, connecting the motor to the battery using two jumper wires. If the motor still does not operate, replace it.
  • Inspect the drive assembly-transmission, gears and tracks-and make sure the mechanism is in good condition. Make repairs as necessary.

How do I replace a 2007 Toyota Avalon drivers side power seat switch w/o memory seat?

First of all, air bag sensors are not under the seats, so don't worry. Next, the switch working at certain times means that perhaps you do not have to replace it. The cold switch contacts are slightly corroded from moisture condensing on them. When the car warms up, the contacts are "clean" and make good electric contact. Choose: live with a little inconvenience or start messing with the switch to clean off the electrical contacts inside with electrical contact cleaner which requires removing the switch and opening up its insides.

The tilting switch on my power seat switch does not work on my 2007 GMC Sierra Classic SLT. All of the other seat adjustments work except for the tilt.

It could be a faulty switch it won't be a blown fuse or wiring issue (its too protected). Most likely it is a faulty tilt motor in the underside of the seat frame. There are 3 seperate motors, and I have replaced all three at different times.

Heated seats not working .Light is working and fuse has not blown

If the light and the fuse are good then you probably have a open in one of the heated elements. You need to ohm the upper then the lower heater elements to see which one is bad.The connectors are under the seat.
