Linear means long. Height has nothing to do with linear. If I have 2 sidewalks, one 8 feet wide 30 feet long, other 2 feet wide 30 feet long. They are each 30 linear feet.

What's the torque settings for the Opel corsa1.4i crank mains and big ends


Please note: You must use new bolts as these are torque to yield bolts, in other words they are a type of linear spring.
Connecting rods/big-end bearing cap bolts (use new bolts)
stage 1 ... 25 Nm (18 lb ft)
stage 2 ... angle tighten + 30 degrees
Main bearing cap bolts (use new bolts)
stage 1 ... 50 Nm (37 lb ft)
stage 2 ... angle tighten + 45 degrees
stage 3 ... angle tighten + 15 degrees

Need torgue specs for bolts on head of my 2000 vauxhall tigra 1.4


Cylinder head bolts (You must use new bolts)
stage 1 ... 25 Nm (18 lb ft)
stage 2 ... angle tighten + 90 degrees
stage 3 ... angle tighten + 90 degrees
stage 4 ... angle tighten + 90 degrees
stage 5 ... angle tighten + 45 degrees

Remember use NEW bolts, these are called torque to yield bolts, they stretch like a linear spring and they only last one use.

I got a 24in wide by 1/2in thick and 34 in length. How can I get the lenier ft


Linear feet is the total length of the board. Since your board is 34 inches long, almost 3 ft, it would be rounded up to 3 linear foot. (2.83 linear feet tobe exact)
if you wanted board foot, the Board ft is 5.67

I have done tons of roofing and we always use square feet .length X width= sq ft .like 50 ft long by16 =800 then double to get both sides of roof is 1600 sq ft

I have 1869 ft3, how many linear ft would that be?


they dont really convert, one is volume the other is distance or length. Not sure how any measurement of linear feet could aid moving.

How many feet is 350 linear feet?


Linear feet are a measure of length (no different from feet); square feet measure area. You cannot simply convert between measures of different kinds of quantities;the connection between them will be specific to a particular problem.A practical example in which this question can arise is in buying countertops for a kitchen. Some materials are sold by the square foot; others (basically those that are extruded, so they come in standard widths) are sold by the linear foot. In order to compare the two, you need to compute the area and wall length for the countertop you want.You can't convert between the two. All you have to do is to make the appropriate measurements so you can calculate the price of each item.The terms used in the lumber industry are a bit confusing.There are two terms that I think you might be mixing up.A LINEAR FOOT is simply the length of a board. If you want to know the area or volume of the board,you need additional information. For instance, 6 linear feet of 1-by-12 has an area of 6 square feet (12 inches = 1 foot, times 6 feet), and it's 1 inch thick, so the volume is 1/2 cubic foot (6 square feet times 1/12 foot). You would need to know the width to calculate it.
Linear feet is length in a specific width.

I have a 1995 gmc jimmy. Fuel injected 4.3 vortec. I need to clean out the egr valve but I have not been able to locate it. Can some one please help! If you have photos that would really help


Sorry I dont have a pic. for you. But here are instructions. The EGR valve is located at the top right of the engine next to the throttle body. REMOVAL & INSTALLATION
Except Linear EGR Valve

Disconnect the negative battery cable.
Remove the air cleaner assembly from the engine.
If equipped, unplug the valve electrical connection.
Remove the EGR valve vacuum tube from the valve.
Remove the EGR bolts and/or nuts and remove the EGR valve and gasket.
To install:
Install a new gasket to the EGR valve and install the EGR valve to the manifold.
Install the nuts and/or bolts. Tighten the bolts to 17 ft. lbs. (24 Nm) and the nuts to 15 ft. lbs. (20 Nm).
Connect the vacuum tube to the EGR valve.
If equipped, attach the valve electrical connection.
Install the air cleaner and connect the negative battery cable.
Linear EGR Valve
Disconnect the negative battery cable.
Note the position of the EGR valve prior to removal. Do not rotate the valve 180?.
Unplug the valve electrical connection..
Unfasten the valve retainers, then remove the valve and the gasket.

To install:
Clean all gasket residue from the gasket mating surfaces.
Install a new gasket and the valve.
Install the valve retainers.
On 1994-97 2.2L engines and 1994-95 4.3L engines, tighten the valve retainers to 17 ft. lbs. (24 Nm). On 1998-99 2.2L models, tighten the retainers to 19 ft. lbs. (26 Nm).
On 1996-99 4.3L models, tighten the retainers on the first pass to 89 inch lbs. (10 Nm) and on the final pass to 18 ft. lbs. (25 Nm).
Attach the valve electrical connections and connect the negative battery cable.

* Left and Right drive axles-to-cross member: 120-150 ft. lbs. (163-203 Nm)

* Axle arm-to-radius arm: 180-240 ft. lbs. (244-325 Nm)

* Coil spring insulator: 30-70 ft. lbs. (41-95 Nm)

* Upper spring retainer: 13-18 ft. lbs. (18-24 Nm)
