Check the relay, that's the most likely culprit. Do check the bulbs as well. I've had both fail within days of each other.

Headlights went out.Everything else works dose not look like a bulb or fuse. what can it be?

If it's not a fuse or the bulbs (and if both went out at the same time, that would seldom be bulbs, anyway), I would suspect it to be a fault in the headlight switch, itself. That's where I would look first, anyway.
Good luck!

Both headlights went out on my 2013 jetta tdi

No. they are on seperate fuses. If the bulbs have not blown then please see your VW agents. This may be an onboard power supply issue.

Headlights went dead

a daewoo, in snakes skins, it is.
not both bad , at same time. (but seen it)
not both fuses bad at same time (but seen that too, alternator went nuts)
but HL relay bad? maybe.
to fix this you need the drawings, alldata.com has it
no country stated and HL very greatly by COUNTRY and its LAWS./

Both headlights went out at the same time ? i still have side lights, spots and main beam

Depending on the year and model Ford, there could be fuses for the headlights, or a circuit breaker inside the headlight switch.
The dimmer switch could have failed.

Headlights went out on a 98 ford escort while driving

if both headlights went out at the same time, check your fuses. because high beams use more power than headlights, they are often on a separate fuse. if fuses are fine, replace the headlights.

My headlights went out both at the same time but i checked the fuses under the dash and they are good so what could be the problem?

Check the fuses under the hood. There is a black fuse box. If they are all good double check the bulbs. I had a lot of people that drove around with one headlight and didn't realize it then the other one burns out later and there is no headlights causing them to think they both went out at the same time. If that stuff is all okay I would replace the headlight switch and if by slim chance that don't work I would replace the multi function switch. One of them things should fix your problem.

Headlights don't work. Both went out at the same

Have you checked the fuses? The headlights should be on their own fused circuit. Check that. If that doesn't work, you may need a new headlight switch. There are hundreds of these cars in the junkyards, finding a new headlight switch should be a piece of cake. Good luck.

Both low beams stopped working at the same time....i find it hard tobelieve they both blew out at the same time...

you blew a fuse most likely. get your owners manual and see which fuse to check. If the fuse is good then your switch went bad. When my switch went bad the headlights did the same thing. I was able to lightly tap the on off headlight switch and they would flicker so I was 100% sure it was the switch.

In your case, check the fuse first.
