Replace the headlight switch. The button on the switch is not turning off all the way.

Possibly any of the diodes inside the alternator (most likely). In some instances, it could also be the regulator whether it be internal;/integrated to the alternator or external.
Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

I just posted my experience in another place on this site but on my 1992 PA the accessories relay stuck closed. This relay is the one that allows you to listen to the radio etc and keep things on until you open the door then all shuts off. When it is stuck closed accessories keep running until your battery drains dead. The relay was replaced and all worked great.

Sounds like an open ground. Maybe make sure the wire that is on the neg terminal is connected to the body about 6 inches away. Also a mechanic is responsible for his work for 30days. Every mechanic all over the world operates under this law. It is a law
