Not an ECM under the dash

Ford is PCM under the hood

The under dash one is a BCM on all
vehicles in the world but ford

They call that a GEM

There is You Tube Video on removing it

NOW have two choices

1- get one from a salvage yard with the same part numbers & from a vehicle with the same BODY options

2- a replacement reman will have to be reflashed at a dealer
not a cheap experience.

Your asking about the GEM for body functions it appears

My truck went down a month ago I was told it was my fuel pump, I replaced the fuel pump but I wasn't getting any fire I replaced the crank sensor but nothing was picking up on three different diagnostics (error) a week prior to that my automatic locks stopped working as well. I'm not sure what my next step would be

Also everything else in the truck is working except my odometer, my automatic locks

I would suggest a repair shop that can put a scan tool on it & check for enhanced body codes in your GEM (body module) Replacing parts yourself & asking about this & that & believing all that & replacing parts is not the way to go Find a problem first

Where is the fuse for brake lights on 97 Ford expedition

looks like its inside the expedition, could be near the left side above the brake pedal, OR, could be on the far left side of the between the door and the dashboard (left side being drivers side) hope it helps. IF its not the fuse, i attached a link to a youtube video that may be beneficial.

97 ford expedition has a code 171 and 174 bank 1 and 2 lean what do i do to fix this

Code 171 and 174 are for bank 1 and 2 running too lean. The engine has compensated as rich as it can go, and it is still to lean. This does not necessarily mean your mixture is bad, but something (a sensor) is telling the ECM to correct lean. The oxygen sensors alert the ECM to how lean/rich the exhaust is, and then the ECM trips a code. Maybe you have a bad oxy. sensor, but since there are 4 of them (2 per bank), I don't think they could all go at once.

My VW Mk1 1.4i 2008 over fueling and does not idle... whats could be wrong?

Hi.
If your fuel pressure is good, timing is good, and compression is good, it is very possible that your ECM, (Engine Control Module) is bad. The computer is not properly modulating the pulse width on the injectors. The pulse width is too wide/long causing the injectors to dump too much fuel. In short, the injectors are staying open too long. Check your connections on your ECM to make sure there are snug. Try removing your battery terminals, unplug the ECM connectors for a few minutes and then plug the ECM back in, reconnect the battery terminals and try it again and see if this helps. If this does not work the ECM is more than likely bad. Hope this helps.

Remove dashboard from honda accord S/W

I don't think removing the dashboard will help much. All the 1995 Accords I've worked on the ECM is under the right front carpet. Take a look and see if your is the same.

Disconnect negative battery terminal. Remove right door sill molding. Pull carpet back to access ECM. Remove ECM cover screws. Unplug ECM connectors. Remove mounting screws. Remove ECM.
