The window does not go up or down sometimes and you cannot pull it up with your hands

The glass is attached to the window regulator,
so it is not going to move by hand

Remove the door panel & see if the regulator
is broken

May have a failed switch to test also

Sometimes there just stuck, have someone push the window button in the down position, while you push down on the window glass, works well if you're hands are a little sticky.

Hand brake stay up while car runs

It'll probably burn out your handbrake brake material and cost you a whole lot of extra fuel into the bargain! Not something that's advisable!

I have a 98 E/S power everything and my drivers side window drop and it won't comeback up. Need help how can I get the window to come up.

take the trim off the inside of the door and you can access the window etc. test the motor and check the wires arn't damaged. sometimes if you hold the switch for the window to go up you can push/pull the window up by hand. if it doesn't work try disconnecting the motor from the arms so you can put it up by hand then re-connect the motor while holding the window up.

Passenger power window problem

hi, this is a common problem and it could be down to a couple of things.

the first and most likely is that all the runners the window runs on need re-greasing to do this you would need to get some spray grease or lube not wd40 that makes the problem worse, you then need to remove the door panel on that side and give all the moving parts a good spray and also the rail the window arms run on, spray it then work the window up and down a few times and hopefully that will solve your problem, if not keep reading.

now the second problem you could be having is going to be worn arms that the window runs on this is not very likely but does happen, once you have the panel off check everything is tight and tighten any loose parts up if after doing this and greasing you still have the problem then your going to need to buy a new window mechanism, these are not expensive to buy but can be a bit fiddly to fit as their isnt much room to get your hands in to get the work done.

let me know how you get on or if you need further assistance ok

Window went down, then quit working

try pulling up the window by hand
the window may have come off its tracks

if you cannot pull the window up because there is too much resistance to lift then you have to diagnose the motor

start with fuses and relays first

I'm looking for a picture of the front window track. I don't know how it's supposed to look the window goes down when you turn crank a little bit then have to pull it back by hand

There is a plastic tab on the window that keeps it on track and straight. Sometimes they snap off. So if it's going up crooked this would be the first thing I check. Hope this helps.

96 cavalier driver power window dont go up

Spray silicone (lots) down along the guides (where felt is ) at the ends and see if that doesn't help. Try to work it up and down a few times.
