If the transmission was slipping, there is no fix for that

Being a 1992 i would talk him into parting with it

To old to be rebuilding a trans & you will need wiring
diagrams & most likely more knowledge than you have
to use them, for all the electrical issues

Testimonial: "HES ALMOST 70. IT WAS PROBABALLY JUST SURGING CAUSE LACK OF FUEL. IM NOT WORRIED BOUT THAT, I GOTTA GET IT RUNNING. MOST PPL BLOW THAT FUSE AND ITS THE OIL PRESSURE SENSOR SHORTED OUT DOING IT, THIS NEVER BLEW.ONLY 1 PERSON HAD A SIMILAR PROBLEM WITH NO POWER AND I HAVE THE CONVERSATION BETWEEN HIM AND THE TECH PRINTED OUT. HAD TO TRACE IT BACK TO THE ECM. IT WAS EITHER THAT OR THE IGNITION SWITCH, TURNED OUT LOST A SPLICE WIRE BETWEEN ECM AND THE ECM FUSE INSIDE. RE-SPLICED AND WAS ALL GOOD. BUT HE LOST POWER TO A DIFFERENT FUSE THAN I DID. WHAT BAFFLES ME IS THE NO POWER SITUATION ON THE RELAY BUT IT STILL CYCLES WHEN YOU FIRST TURN ON THE KEY??"

No power to my fuel pump! Any suggestions on what I need to fix?

I would start if you haven't already by checking a fuse and a relay. The fuse that you need to check is in the fuse box located on the passenger side of the vehicle in the engine compartment. I gave you a picture of the layout of the fuses and relays below. The fuse you want to check is the one marked "ECM BAT" which controls power to the powertrain control module which tells the fuel pump/relay to work. and then check the fuel pump relay itself which is in the same fuse panel and will be the relay in the number 14 position. Other then that you are most likely looking at a wiring problem which is in a whole other ball park. Start here. I hope this helps you and is the problem. Good luck.

I WHANT TO NHOW WERE IS THEFUEL PUMP SWITSH FOR 2000 BLAZER

The fuel pump relay is ECM B and the fuse is a 20 amp fuse.
  1. Turn the ignition off.
  2. Remove negative battery cable.
  3. Now remove the cover to the fuse panel under the hood.
  4. Now remove the fuel pump relay. There should be a schematic on the inside of the lid.

Underhood fuse block swap out relay #7 thats the ECM relay.
Ground Circuits Using a DVOM, touch negative voltmeter lead to a good ground. Touch positive voltmeter lead to each ground terminal. With vehicle running, voltmeter should indicate less than one volt. If reading is greater than one volt, check for open, corrosion and loose connection on ground lead. See ECM GROUND LOCATION table for ECM ground location.

Fuel pump stays on after engine is turned off The pump continues to run for several hours discharging the battery

Unplug the fuse going to the fuel pump. If this stop the fuel pump from running. If it does, then go to the fuel pump relay after plugging the fuse back in and unplug it and see if the pump stops running. If it does the relay is stuck in close position and will need replaced. You can uplug the fuse and replug the fuse to the fuel pump until you get it solved. It usually is a yellow 25 amp fuse that is under the dash.

1992 Buick Roadmaster no power to fuel pump. New fuel pump and changed the ecm ...please help

Theres a few more checks But i'm sure you checked the fuel pump fuse already ..Use a test light and check to see if the fuel pump relay is getting power from the supply and from the Ignition feed. should be a schematic on the underside of the relay..if no power from the feeds check for a blown or rotted fuseable link or a maxi fuse..good luck

No pressure at fuel rail on 88pontiac grand prix can not hear fuel pump kick on

Did you check your fuel pump relay and related fuses to make sure no fuses were blown? Passenger side under-hood electrical center shows # 3 fuse 20 amp fuse controlling fuel pump and ECM. Also #12 is also Fuel pump relay in Passenger side under-hood electrical center. These would be the first things to check.

First things to check would be fuse(s) at dash & under hood, as well as rad fan relay & possibly coolant temperature sensor.

Buick Regal dying

You have a problem in the fuel pump relay circuit for sure then. I'm betting the relay, but it could be that dropping resistor.

2000 S10 4.3L Fuel pump stopped working out of the blue. We Put a new Fuel Pump in, new harnes to fuel pump, new fuel filter, new relay, new fuses in IGN C and ECM B fuses. Still the pump will not turn on....

Did you verify that the relay terminals have the appropriate signals to them?

ECM fuse B (20-amp) should provide power at all times to the orange wire of the fuel pump relay. The relay coil receives ground via the black wire, and relay coil gets power from the dark green/white wire. When the relay is closed, you should have battery power on the gray wire.

The relay trigger wire should have power from the dark green/white wire in terminal 1 of the Vehicle Control Module (VCM) connector for the first couple of seconds after they key is turned to run (to prime the system) and when the truck is running. Checking for all the appropriate signals at the relay is where I would start. That is after I checked for diagnostic codes.

Believe the fuel relay is the middle relay out of the three in the left rear of the glove box. Last thing is to hot wire the fuel pump if you can not get it scanned, see if the pump is bad unless your going to have a shop work on changing the fuel pump.
Good luck and hope this helps. keep me posted.
