I wouldn't be installing a used trans,
if that is why your asking
Rebuild yours
No reason to need a trans on a 7 to 8 year old vehicle
I would guess you never change the fluid every 2 to 3 years
Most Ford Transmissions have known problems, brand new,
& they are well know by the shops that rebuild them
So get it rebuilt & do all the updates or suffer the same fate
every 70 to 100,000 miles
You would have to ask a trans shop or have a dealer run some
number off the unit, to answer that
If you see different wiring, etc, then,no,unless it can be switched
over to the 2005 unit.
Is the other trans from the same motor & same type vehicle
These things are all computer controlled, you can't just assume
you can mix & match from one year to the next

if youve got transmission fluid in it and it wont do anything it is a bad transmission, if it isnt shifting in a correct order then your then your modulator valve is unhooked, bad, or isnt on it and you have to buy one for about twenty dollars or so i think. I cant remember if it is on the drivers side or passengers side. It looks like a spark advance. I hope that helps you out.

I had the defective cooler replaced yesterday and the Ford service manager told me there is no pan or filter in the 2008 escape, only a screen.
SOURCE: Automatic transmission engages all gears but drive. Any ideas?
Check for fault code as it is possible a solenoid has failed.
