I have a Visteon sd 8300 but I got no sound it is in a Grand Cherokee
This radio has high power output amplifier IC chips. These IC chips amplify voltage and amperage so your radio can push your high powered speakers. As a result these IC chips get very hot, so hot even that if you open your radio you will find that they are mounted to either the back or side wall of your radio useing it as a way to pull heat away from the chip so the heat won't damage the chip. Overtime these chip defect because of the heat. If you are a skilled tech are novice and you know how to desolder multiple pin chips without damaging print on the circuit board you can change them out yourself. After taking them out Google the big numbers and letters in the front of each chip and order the replacement that you find. Slip them back into the circuit board and mount it back to the wall. Solder all the pins and you should be good to go. If you are not skilled at soldering please take it to a tech you can easily ruin a good radio are even a new IC chip with the heat from a soldering iron.
