Well..the first thing you need to do is replace the alternator belt, and put the battery on the charger. When the belt broke, the car ran off the battery until it was completely discharged. Often in a newer car, the e.c.u. needs a solid 12 volts to run. It could be there just isnt enough voltage for the computer.
If the timing belt is intact, it should be ok. Check your pulleys and try to find out why the belt broke. Look for a cracked or chipped pulley, or a sloppy tensioner thats wobbling about
Thanks. The battery was replaced and it is still not starting. The belt was a substandard belt. Anything else to add please.
Does the 1995 Mazda 626 have a computer box? It's. strange because after a day of the car sitting, on the first attempt it sounds normal in trying to start but doesn't . Further attempts sounds like broken timing chain or overflooding of gas. Spark plugs also has gas odor

Distributor fault, the coil goes down in tyhem and sometimes pops the ECU.
