the window regulator is broke. it has to be replaced. what has happend is that the cable has come unspooled which moves the window up and down. i would check to see if it is warrentied.

You'll need to remove screws that are by the door handle, arm rest, under door and side of door and then gently pull back on the panel as there will also be retaining clips attached and you don't want to break them. If needed, you can pull back the weather seal (can't reuse it, but it's not that important) and you will be able to access everything inside the door

They are definitely either off track, or the window regulators are broken, or some mounting points are broken in the door trim. I am not really familiar with the door trim in Elantras, but the inside door panels will have to be taken off (which is real easy if you know what you're doing on that type of vehicle but manufacturers like to hide screws, bolts and clips which can make it a pain if you don't know exactly what holds the panel in place) and once the panels are off the source of the problem will probably be obvious...

glue the bastard in if you go to speedy autoglass and ask for buttle for installing windsheilds and use that in the bottom of the conector track it will never ever come out again

if you look inside the door panel you will see that there are guides on either side of the window mostlikely these need to be adjusted slowly move the window down till yuo see where it becomes loose from the trackthen loosen thebolt at the bottom of the track and move it closer to the window and do the same on the other side
