If it is manual and does not move when you are in gear any gear the clutch is disengaged and the engine is running it is the clutch worn out or the clutch slave cylinder if it has one is broken..good luck

My 1992 Ford Explorer Sport 2wd 4.0l v6 5 speed manual transmission lost drive power, why did this happen and how do I fix it?

Are you saying it does not go in any direction with engine running and the clutch pedal all the way out"up" if you are see if the RPMS on the tachometer is rising if so your clutch is worn our or the slave cylinder if yours has one to the clutch is defective..tell tell oil on the floor around the clutch pedal and under the car in that area will be present..if not it is your clutch..good luck

Will a tranny out of 2000 Explorer work in a 92 Explorer. If not is there any thing i can change or do to make it work ? ...

No they will not interchange,The 92 has a hydralic transmission and the 00 has a fully electronic transmission. You would need the engine, computer, wiring harness, transmission and god knows what else to even try to make it work.Better off just rebuilding the trans in the 92(A4LD Trans) or buying a working 00 explorer and driving it.You should be able to get th 92 transmission rebuilt for about 1500 give or take.Let me know if you need me to help you locate a shop in your area through ATRA or ATSG.Good luck!

92 explorer, wont engage in any gear nor does it even feel/ sound like it wants to. fluid smells and looks good. its a 2wd.

check that the linkage is connected and that the seletor on the transmission is moving. If it is then you have a blown tranny

92 honda accord lx D4 flashes

you have a transmission fault the D4 light blinks to tell you that there is a transmission problem when the light is blinking the transmission computer put the transmission into limp home mode so it will not shift normally and you should try not to drive it very far when it gets to this stage you need to have the transmission codes check to pin point the problem

I just recieved this 92 explorer,my friend said he lost power and it started to steem exssevly out of the exaust

Your intake manifold gasket has blown. Water is leaking into the intake and being burnt thru the cylinders, drowning your gas mixture hence no power, and steam out the exhaust.
Drive it as little as possible as you'll easily trash your motor.
Shouldnt be massively expensive to fix - gasket set $50-100
Few hours shop labor, antifreeze. Make sure you change the thermostat when you fix it. that could have caused the blown gasket. hope that helps
