Car losing power

maybe a clogged filter.. why 2 months? it has old gas in it..gas does evaporate to a degree..looses some of its power creating capability.. the mtbe additive is an extreme evaporative.. it will evaporate out very quickly.. remember all fuel tanks have a vent tube on them..

Car cut out while driving lose power

hmmmm tough one without putting it on a diagnostic machine, I would suspect the crank sensor or the distributer issues not sure of the year of your car, whether it is carby or efi, if carby model, then possible blocked jets, {recon it}, i would get it on a diagnostic reader to be more accurate, hope this helps a bit. Good luck.

I have a diesel toyota avensis 2004 with 92k miles,my car seems to be losing turbo power whilst driving seems to happen only when i slow down on motorway travelling approx 70mph

Have a look at the intercooler pipes if the expand once you press accelerator if they do very little you need to check if there is no oil build up inside, if there is than you will have to get your intercooler and pipes cleaned or replaced.

Lose in momentum or power when motorway driving. Seems to happen between 70-85. No Engine lights or even a hange in the rev counter... Even my girlfriend noticed it when she drove it.

don't ignore simple maintenance issues which can cause minor problems like this. namely a filthy air filter, or restricted fuel filter.

if your vehicle slows from 70 downto 60 with no change in revs ,then the transmission is slipping .. imust say i dont believe that the speed drops back without the revs dropping down too, i am not calling you a liar ,i`m saying you are not making accurate observations , and without those we are just guessing .
