Your camshaft senor is located near your camshaft, on the front of the engine. For most newer cars it will be near the top of the front of the engine. It should have a plug with two wires coming out if it. One thing to consider is that a camshaft (and crankshaft) sensor is nothing but a magnet with a connector on it. There really isn't much that can go wrong with it. Most of the time the problem is a dirty connector and not the sensor. Pull the plug off the sensor, clean it out with a q-tip and some alcohol, and that usually fixes it.
REMOVAL & INSTALLATION
The camshaft position sensor is located inside the distributor. On some distributors, the camshaft position sensor is not serviceable (replacement parts may not be available separately). If the camshaft position sensor is serviceable, use the following procedure.
