How to reset oil indicator light on a 2010 range rover LR4

I changed to oil in my 2010 LR4 range rover now I need to reset the oil indicator.

this sounds like you have a iPhone if im not mistaking? Most cars are made for iPods and will work with iPhone's but they are not made for them and there is no way to fix this.

The audio system is completely dead - restarting car made no difference


Carry out a battery reset. Disconnect earth lead and leave for about 5 minutes. Reconnect and test

The oil is easy to change but you will need a computer to reset the service. Try the garage where you change your oil, If dealer even better.

You need to let the vehicle sit after running it for 15 - 20 mins in order for the engine control module to get an accurate reading of the oil level. This allows for the oil in the top of the heads to run back to the sump so your reading is not premature, and you dont overfill it.

LR-4 If I hit a bump the dash lights up like a xmas tree with errors. Thinking a loose connection to the PCM. Where is it ?


Behind the battery. You will have to remove the battery to access it. Can you identify what lights are coming up and what messages are shown on the instrument cluster? The messages can help you narrow the search without the correct diagnostic equipment.

QUITE SIMPLE THE SERVICE INDICATOR NEEDS TO BE RESET AGAIN YOU MIGHT HAVE TO TAKE IT TO RANGE ROVER DEALER THOUGH.
