Have you tried contacting the parts/service department of your local Toyota dealer for this information ??

clean out the throttle body if did nit do it other than that if you used the same old MAF or mass air flow adjust it why it was set for the old condition truck engine also there is a idle up on the throttle body make sure that gasket o ring are not torn then find the idle control its either a black knob or white adjust the idle setting and you will be good again

If it has a carb it's a 22r, if it has a throttle body (fuel infection) it is a 22re.

does it have ac if so watch your ac compresor if it engages and your rpm drops at the same time thats the issue

try cleanig the throttle body,by spraying with cleaner then blow it out with air

If you have no vacuum leaks, the injectors could be clogging up (winter gas or old gas can cause that) or the throttlebody may need cleaning. Use the correct cleaner that is O2 sensor safe! Also ensure the air filter is clean.

The EGR is bad to stick open on the 22RE.
Disabling the vacuum line to it will do no good.
You must remove the valve body from the head and try to blow air back down through it, there should be ZERO air go through.

A 22RE will run fine with the EGR removed, there are blockoff plates available, beware that this may not be legal some places.

check for broken or leaking vacumn hoses as well as leaking intake gasket and base gasket for the carb/throttle body

Take car for trouble code at Autozone or similar store for free. it is probably the idle position sensor.(IPS)
