It could be that your ignition pass key is not working properly. The computer in the vehicle is set to start the car only if the proper resistance is measured on the ignition key. If you have several sets of keys for that car, try the other keys. This is not a common fault, but never the less, it is a possibility.

SOURCE: 2003 windstar no power past the battery ?

I would check with vom voltage at battery terminals and at starter to ground. Is possible could be a fuse or fusable link but I think the positive goes straight to starter and power distribution fuse or fusable link

SOURCE: STARTER MOTOR WIRING

The wires with the large loops go on the big terminal. The purple wire likely is the one with the smaller loop that goes on the right terminal (facing the solenoid). That is ith trigger wire from the ignition key.Do not permit the wires from either terminals to touch.

SOURCE: need wiring diagram for 1996 GMC Sonoma, I lost

On the 96 GMC sonoma my fuses are located on a small panel on the drivers side of the dash, it's hidden by the door when it's closed, you'll see a round knob. Under my hood is ONLY the master cylinder and cruise control unit. NO fuses are under my hood either. The relays are behind a panel in the glove compartment.

SOURCE: Alternator is not charging the

A fuse-able link is a fat usually red wire that burns up if to much power it put through it. You have an under hood fuse box, it is black plastic about the size of an alarm clock. under the cover will be a diagram of which fuses are what, and coming out of the box will be red wires, these are your fuse-able links. Look for one that looks like it was burnt.

Lost power to igniton fuse on 1986 gmc c70 dump truck

You may have cooked the fuseable link between the key switch and the starter. The switch gets power from the starter post where the battery cable is connected. The main wire has a fuse built in.

Do you have power at the starter post coming from the battery ? Are all of the fuses and fuseable links functional ?

My 69 el camino worked fine yesterday, Now completely dead. no ignition brake lights etc.

Could be a bad connection on one of the battery cables, or you may have cooked a fuseable link.
There are 3 or 4 fuseable link wires coming off the large terminal on the starter that powers the key switch and fuse box.
I would check the starter to see if it has voltage first.

2000 Cavalier 2.2: Put in new starter. 2 days & it

The battery and alternator may have been ok.
You have a fuse or fuseable link between the alternator and battery to protect it. If you have battery voltage at the battery post and not at the alternator post, there is a break in that circuit.
If the battery cable goes to the starter, the alternator wire may go from there and that could be where the fuseable link is.
Fuseable links are special thin wires that act like fuses.

New battery new cabel ends on battery wires, started once now nothing no power to anything, rechecked battery terminal ends seemed ok same results

You'll need to take a meter or test light and find out if the connections are good enough to carry voltage to the starter and fuse box.
If you have lights but no crank, the circuit between the starter and key switch would need to be tested, including the neutral safety switch.
Could be a major fuse or fuseable link wire has melted.

Loss of power to headlights. replaced headlight switch. fuses ok, ground ok. still no power to headlamps, marker lamps, parking, tail, and dome lamps.

Check the fuseable links .. they are a rubbery type wire usually on the back of the alternator or starter motor usually in a group with 3 to 6 of them ..They usually have a black or white piece of plastic where the fuse link attaches to the actual wire .. These wires aka fuseable links usually corrode or rot out at the plastic piece under the insulation you hardly see the break in the wire...good luck..by the way.. these links act as a slow blow fuse in the system...
