I have a 2005 Kia Spectra. If I let it idle a few minutes, the clutch will seize and the pedal will just loosely go up and down. It will work again after it cools down. I replaced the slave cylinder, but it still seizes after prolonged idling (excessive heating?). Don't know what is heating up and locking??
How about if you fill the radiator with coolant. That will fix it to where it won't overheat. I'm not trying to be a wise guy here friend, bit the radiator has to be full on coolant and the reservoir attached should be kept at the required mark on the reservoir. Now IF the radiator IS already full, then it has a bad water pump or the belt is not spinning it. Have a wonderful day my friend.
The engine itself does not overheat at all. All the fluid levels are good.
My apologies friend, my mistake on thinking it was the engine overheating. Now it makes no sense why the clutch pedal woud just flop loosely when engine warms up, and that it's good when cooled down. There's no connection, at all. Sounds like a fluke of nature to me. Since you've replaced the slave cylinder and still the same situation, I'd be replacing the master cylinder also. It's a catch 22 situation friend. And a trial and error deal. Once you've replaced the master cylinder and got it bled, it should be good to go. Let me know what happens.

SOURCE: On my 2001 KIA Spectra the clutch won't fully
could just be low on cluch fluid or you may have to bleed the air out of the slave cylinder
SOURCE: 02 kia spectra clutch pedal has no resistance
could be just low on oil, or the clutch it self .But if you just had it doin one year ago it should still be warranty most go for 3 years on transmission work.
