Windshield wiper switch will not turn wipers off after they are turned on
SOURCE: Windshield wipers
Yes this is an issue on many Chevys with no recall. MOST of the time the problem you are describing is the wiper motor "pulse board", not the motor itself. Bad solder joints in the thin board, crack, so vibration and normal driving make them worse, and no contact is being made. Good news...Advance Auto Parts carries these for approx. $30, much cheaper than motor replacement. Just like wiper motor removal but all you have to do is remove (3) screws holding pulse board on motor housing, and most IMPORTANT, always put a thin bead of silicone or quality sealer around edge before re-install, this helps with vibration as well as waterproofing. Hope this helps!

Fixed the wiper problem which was identical to Brad's by changing out the wiper module which is also called a pulse module or something of that nature. Pretty easy fix. You have to remove the grill that the wiper blades protrudes from in order to get to the motor (4 clips in front which can be removed by hand, remove radio antenna, a center push down retainer, two plastic end caps which pop off and then 1 star type screw on each end under the end caps). Getting the blades off seemed difficult. I used a small puller to pop them off after removing the nuts.
You can't buy this module at a regular parts store. I had to get it from the dealer so be prepared to spend $130 to $140 for the part or go to the salvage yard. Works great now.

check to make sure the wipers are at its right angle on the vehicle, loose the nuts and place both wipers close to the bottom of the wind screen
SOURCE: replaced wiper motor but still won't work buzzes
can you move the linkage when you pulled the motor?

replace the wiper board, go to your local chevy dealer and purchase the wiper board. remove the wiper motor cover & you'll see the wiper board. be careful not to break to the plastic arm.
