or a photo.
or using real car parts names.
Testimonial: "thx fossil, just to get u on track as to what i have been doing to solve the problem with my suzuki forenza fuel problem. it started right after i installed the struts when i went on a test drive. i pushed the pedal but i got no response, rpm gauge not going past 3. since i had already added a treatment a week before, i decided to take out the pump to inspect the filter that is attached to the pump.. i wish i could send a picture of someof the fuel that was nside , i poured some in a clear glass, it was black sludge. then i proceeded to open or take the pump apart & clean as much of it as i could , using only gasoline. i poured the fuel into the chambers, slushed it around for a few minutes, emptied the contents in my glass jar to check the condition. i repaeted this like 10 times until i saw the fuel that i removed started to clear up. so i put it together again & installed the pump back in the tank. i did this yesterday. today i will try to start the motor after i bleed the fuel line...how am i doing so far ?"
sorry, here goes. it's a 2006 suzuki forenza, took it for a test drive after adding a bottle of gasoline treatment in the tank. my question is; can i install an after market filter on the fuel line & if so how ?
ok, its the gas engine, not diesel, and you'd need 60psi, rated fuel filter, all EFI flters are like that, so you'd have to breach the current system. to do that you will need to find , what daewoo or GM uses there. and uses compatible components. nut just cutting a hose , then using cheezy carb type low pressure fitttings, if you look on the web site , summitracing.com its all there. racing modification fuel system parts.
why do this?
bad fuel or someone put in diesel., cleaning the whole system out is not easy, the injectors have 10 micron screens. so, adding more rear filters that stop contams, at 40 micron are of little help. the system needs to be totally cleaned then fresh clean fuel added. there is no other way. i sorry for your grief, no one deserves this mess.
id remove the tank and have it pro cleaned , the work forward. and last the injector, injector cleaners do NOT clean those screws, a pro injector shop uses backflushing and unltrsonic cleaner to get the like new. its non trivial cleaing an injector, after such a mess.
edit screwws is screens.. good luck to you.
i forgor to mention, a great part of the work i did yesterday involved the actual removal of the . it was sparkling clean! so i covered the openings with rags & went ahead & cleaned the outside of the tank. then after it was dry i put it back on the car, this was done with no help so you can imagine what it was like. so today i'll try & find someplace or shop that i can have my injectors blasted clesn like u mentioned , thanks again fossil for all the usefull inf.
what was clean and what was black, confused i am. but if you got that black crap upstream the injectors will be clogged. take them off and take them to an injector cleaning pro. they will clean them the correct way and will work like new,my sources even shows flow rates before and after the service, ever consider not using addtives to fuel, after all how does your additive mix and not wreck the chemistry of your cars good fresh out of the statioin pump additives ,???? sure use Chevon fuel and add bottle of techron additive, but do not use most of the others on the market they are crap or very risky to use, infact only use it , when DESPERATE. the chevron product is not snake oil its just more powerful benzine. and is never a panacea.
that black happened for a reason, bad fuel, diesel added, or some snack oil in the thank, putting in many kinds is a very bad idea. (you will learn all this after all that hard work) next time respect the EFI system and that expensive fuel in the tank, dont play chemist is a great idea.

SOURCE: do 2006 suzuki forenzas have
Fuel filter, not applicable unless you are changing the fuel pump, this is known as a strainer or fuel sock. A lot of newer cars, 2004 and up have done away with the in line fuel filters. Sugest using a fuel injector cleaner, I use Seafoam, pricey but worth it

Power steering light?? Maybe it's something else.
SOURCE: where is my fuel switch to my suzuki forenza 2004
I think your fuel switch is Right Hand side of your Driving Seat.
SOURCE: Where is the fuel Pump
under hood by battery there should be secondary fuse an relay bob with battery cable bolted to it positive cable.check your owners manual or haynes repair manual available at local parts stores.
SOURCE: where is the fuel pump in a 2007 suzuki forenza
