Disconnect battery from car, use wrench to remove hold down of link, remove link, install new link, tighten up hold down, reconnect battery.
Testimonial: "Charles. Thanks so much for your responses but I should have mentioned that I do not even know where the fusible link is. I know it's a wire but don't know where it actually is. I know it's somewhere behind the battery. Also is it actually connected to the alternator or starter. The garage mechanic just said I need an alternator to battery link. Thanks. I need to take an auto class or something. I'm glad for these forums."

Jump across the 2 in the clip (with Engine Running)ONLY TEMPORARY!! Do You Have Voltage at Battery ?? How Much??
If Over 13volts With Clip On (Jumped) You Need A Internal Voltage Regulator ..

SOURCE: Hyundai alternator has no output is there a fuse?
Is the regulator built into the Alternator on this vehicle??
If the regulator is messed up - it can keep the alternator from producing output. I am not familiar with this particular vehicle.
Airframe and PowerPlant mechanic. I am familiar with principles, and how stuff works... Clarify with the 'parts house' what they mean by the alternator being OK - while producing 0 output. A lot of vehicles now have the regulator built into the Alternator...
A Hanes or Chilton's book would probably be able to help, and since the car is only 5 years old - see if you can pick up a Factory Repair Manual, and diagnosis troubleshooting flow chart. These items are worth gold in fixing specific vehicles.

And: Yes, there are fuses. A fusible link would probably mean the car wouldn't run, and/or a direct bad short. A fuse could have inadvertently blown - look around. Get a book. Electrical stuff needs a roadmap.

No fusible link, make sure the wires connected to the alternator are making good contact. If you installed a rebuilt alternator, it could be defective. Also check the voltage regulator
Testimonial: "Thanks for the replay, is ther a way to check voltage regulator??"
SOURCE: reversed jumper cables, blown fusible link?
Turn the key to run, truck in park, and jump the starter from the small wire to the large wire on the starter solinoid. If it starts, all is good and your fussible link is probably right. The fusable links are located in the engine compartment, under a cover on the firewall.
