My vehicle is stuck in the park gear, I am unable to get it to go into drive. I was reading other complaints about there vehicle and some of the answers was that it could be the solenoid.
YOU POSIBLE HAVE PROBLEM WHIT SHIFTER INTERLOCK POSIBLE FUSE BRAKE SWITCH OR SELENOID IS ON THE STEERING COLUM

I also have a 2002 Envoy. Shifting to and from 4wh and 4wa can be done on the fly but shifting to 4wL has to be done stoped and while in neutral. Try that. Otherwise I'm afraid its a new computer for you. Its located under the left rear seat and you need a loan for one.

Make sure you have brake lamps. The shift interlock solenoid is powered by the brake lamp switch.
