Did work on high beam but not low beam then yesterday went out all together
You need to get a test light and check for both voted and ground at the headlight switch at the plug connector

Did you inspect and clean the connection fitting? You should also use a bulb connector fitting lubricant...did you touch the new bulb with finger grease or any dirt? These headlight bulbs are extremely sensitive to hand oil...the connection sounds serviceable...Hope this helps.

Clyde,
I've been troubleshooting this same problem on a different vehicle this week, and I can give you the steps I'd take.
1. If both sides went out at the same time, the problem is *NOT* likely to be the bulbs.
2. Check the fuses to see if both low beam lights are on the same fuse. Many cars have one fuse for low beam and another for high beam, so both lights out at the same time typically means fuse blown.
3. If the headlights are OK and the fuses are OK, then the problem is *LIKELY* the headlight switch. In my case, AutoZone has one and it can be installed easily; but in your case, that may not be as simple.
Please post your findings or comments.

hi check your bulbs first but the problem is a bad ground or a faulty connecter look at the drivers side first clean all the grounds and connectors yates210456

I had a similar problem. I found the switch under the steering wheel cowling was broke. I actually glued and repaired it and have had no further problems.
It has been a long time since I did it but I remember it was fairly easy to remove the cowling and inspect the switch. Good luck, ml

What you have sounds like a Headlight SWITCH Problem, You can check the Fuse for them (DOUBTFULL) but its a Large one @ Power distribution Box Under Hood.

I would look at the fuses also. these newer cars have seperate fuses for driver an passenger headlights.
