See if it's a shot or worn belt. If it has cracks needs to be changed.
Check the belt tightener as it may not be working right

1999 honda accord camshaft position sensor replace on 2.3 litre vtec .. where is it located

1999 honda accord (gen 6) no problem told , dead engine/spark???????
NO country told but is this engine.(so I DO USA)!
2.3L (real hame H23 (something) your secret. NOT V6.sure.
if In uSA we ask you the VIN and the VIN is engine coded to the exact H engine there. (of the 5) the DOHC?
so if DOHC the first thing that come to mine is 2 CMP sensors or 2.
2 cam engines some have 2 CMP sensor. for far better park timing..
and varies by country, (smog rules not the same so.....) yeah none told.
our 2.3L is SOHC< not DOHC as some are.world wide. (dig)?
now answering only for USA spec, car 1999 , i read the SM service manual to you now
ok, this car as the old DISTRIBUTOR
and CMP is deep inside that, not fixed too any cam, at all
this car , this country this engine.
a seperate HV spark coil ,fitted deep inside DIZZY
an ICM module inside the Dizzy anD
CMP IS CALLED CYP HONDA. AND IS SHOW BELOW
IF THE pcm SCANS SHOW, P03XX CODE FOR CMP THIS DEAD
OR THE CAM BELT IS SLIPPED OR SNAPPED DEAD.
the belt on the cam never lasted 23 years ever.
so is bad that old, and when even slipped the PCM block spark
this honda engine is and INTERFERENCE engien, and must not be allowed to slip that belt or break or bend valves you will
All Honda engines are Interference except 3.0L & 3.2 which are Non-Interference.

if spark is dead, CYP is bad, or ICM or belt slipped/
do not run any honda like this , with a bad cam belt or go broke $$$$$

What could be causing Intermittent high piched whinning sound from ford v10 engine on 1999 Winnebago Brave. Speed does not affect it and sound is causing no issues yet.

Check the tension of the fan belt as if it is to slack it will slip under load causing the noise. Tightening it solve your problem.

How do I replace the broken fan belt on my y2000 Mazda Bravo 2wd petrol ute? I need to know which parts to loosen, and how to loosen them, so I can slip the belt over the pulleys. I can see where the

you need a cerpentine belt tool. check out all the pulleys and you will find that one has a square hole in the bracket holding the roller. that arm is spring loaded to maintain tension on the belt. Its not easy for the first time to do this job. The route the belt goes will be on a sticker diagram somewhere under the hood. sometimes they are on the under side of the hood, while sometimes they are on the car's grill frame. it is usually best to put the belt on all the pulleys except the alternator, then pull the tension pulley arm to facilitate the belt slipping onto the alternator pulley. Do not attempt to put it on the tension pulley last. and be careful the tension pulley tension can give you quite a severe pinch if you get your fingers caught under the belt.

How to tighten fan belt on 1999 fairmount ghia v8

The cars today do not have belt adjustments they have what is caller a idler pulls that keeps a serpintine belt "all in one belt" that snakes around all the pulleys, thus the serpintine..name..anyway if it is slipping most likely the belt needs replacing or the idler itself is bad..neither can be adjusted..the fix is replacement...your car should have a belt route under the hood showing where it goes and the idler is spring loaded and easy easy to take the pressure off to take the old belt off and replace it..not a big job for garages if you wish not to DIY .good lucK

Volvo s80 not cranking

Check and make sure the timing belt has not slipped. It's possible that the broken drive belt got under the timing belt and made it skip. If this happened, you are in for an expensive repair!
