Indications are by turning on the heater you are increasing the capacity of the radiator to cool the coolant. This indicates that the cores in the radiator are blocked and there is nor enough coolant circulation going on from the blockage. have a flow test done on the radiator and replace with a new one if it shows more than 25% blocked

Could be that your linkage is broken and just looks like it is shifting or a bad tranny module or tranny but i would look at the linkage and see if it is hooked up to the tranny.

Sounds like your water pump is going out or your thermostat is stuck. Check the thermostat first and make sure it is not frozen in the clsed position.

I would be looking at a shorted blower resistor it is located behind the glove box on the HVAC housing. Prob the switch contacts with a 12 volt test light if the bulb intesity does not change the blower resistor is bad. The resister is at fault about 99% of the time.
