SOURCE: Buick Rendezvous 2002 need codes?

the BCM needs to be programmed to operate the computer. a GM techII is now required to calibrate BCM to airbag, stereo, keyless entry, and control pcm data. This is required to make it all work. a gm service should have it done within an hour or less just call and ask them how much it would be to program new BCM. it might cost @$75 to $125 but it is needed, to allow the BCM to work properly.

Testimonial: "ok...i bought the bcm on line (used)...but the gays in the dealer says i have to buy a new one..because the used cannot be to reflashed...or recoded."

Where is the door lock module located on a 2005 Buick Rendezvous

No door lock module , BCM - body control module ! You best bet would be to take your vehicle to a qualified repair shop an have your problem diagnosed . If you replace the module it has to go to the dealer to be programed .

2005 Buick Rendezvous you can hear the relay clicking but the door locks will not open and close

Check for broke wires inside the boot from body to driver door , this is a common problem . If you don't find broke wire's , pull the door panel to get at driver door switch . Check for voltage an ground circuit .
Rendezvous Door Lock System Components
The power door lock system consists of the following components:
?€¢
Body control module (BCM)

?€¢
Driver door lock switch

?€¢
Front passenger door lock switch

?€¢
Door lock actuators in each of the doors

?€¢
Door lock system fuse into the BCM (BCM D 25A fuse)

Door Lock Operation
When the BCM detects a transition of either of the door lock switches to the LOCK position, it switches the door lock actuator lock control circuit to voltage. Since the lock actuator unlock control circuits are at ground potential within the BCM, the door lock actuator motors transition to the Lock position.
Driver Door Unlock Operation
When the BCM detects a transition of either of the door lock switches to the UNLOCK position, it switches the driver door lock actuator unlock control circuit to voltage. Since the door lock actuator lock control circuit is at ground potential within the BCM, the LF door lock actuator motor transitions to the Unlock position.
The driver door lock actuator unlock control circuit is a dedicated control circuit used only for the driver door lock actuator motor. This is done so that the driver door may be unlocked by itself using a keyless entry transmitter or an automatic door unlock function (if programmed).
Passenger Door Unlock Operation
When the BCM detects a transition of either of the door lock switches to the UNLOCK position, it switches the door lock actuator unlock control circuits to voltage. Since the door lock actuator lock control circuit is at ground potential within the BCM, the passenger door lock actuator motors transition to the Unlock position.
The door lock actuator unlock control circuits are dedicated control circuits used only for the passenger door lock actuator motors. This is done so that the driver door may be unlocked seperate from the passenger doors using a keyless entry transmitter or an automatic door unlock function (if programmed). This video on testing computer controlled door locks on a Subaru , doesn't matter . test yours same way > The BCM controls your door locks .
Are all of the power door locks inoperative from both door lock switches?

The security light and the word lock came on now my windows, radio and door locks dont work. what is problem and will it be expensive to repair

They put the BCM under the cup holders in the console. Yes it can be costly to replace. Most times they can be removed with the fuse panel, and cleaned. They are pain to get in and out, with out removing the console, but they come out. Garages and dealers won't clean them, just replace them.

Door locks on a 2004 Rendezvous

Sound like you missing a ground somewhere,Only in park,The park signal is in the instrument cluster,The goes to the BCM, go to the engine juction fuse box check fuses listed as GATE REL this is 20 amps, then check IPMDL fuse this is10 amps. , Then check the BCM D fuse this is the 25 amp fuse it is located in the center console or the floor, If every thing is good you can try a reflash of the BCM.

My 2002 Buick Rendevous would not start three times, then on the 4th time it started. Now the security and SES light is flashing. The windows won't roll down, radio is locked, door locks won't...

Given the amount of electronic's ( computers ) on your vehicle ,it could be a lot of thing's . Hooking up a factory or professional grade scan tool that can communicate with all the control modules on the vehicle should be the first step in the diagnostic problem . Checking for DTC'S - diagnostic trouble codes , communication between module errors etc.....
Your best bet , take it to a qualified repair shop that has the proper diagnostic equipment to check it out .
The power door lock system consists of the following components:
• Body control module (BCM)
• Driver door lock switch
• Front passenger door lock switch
• Door lock actuators in each of the doors
• Door lock system fuse into the BCM (BCM D 25A fuse)

BCM Functions
The body control module (BCM) is capable of accomplishing multiple body control functions. Components directly connected to the BCM are controlled by the BCM outputs. The BCM can control its outputs based on input information it obtains from sensors and switches that are directly connected to the BCM, or by receiving information from other vehicle systems connected to the class 2 serial data link. The BCM evaluates this information and controls certain body systems by commanding an output on or off.
The BCM is also capable of commanding other vehicle systems to control functions that are not directly wired to and/or controlled by the BCM. The BCM accomplishes this task by sending specific messages on the class 2 serial data link. The vehicle system capable of performing such function will respond to the BCM message.
The BCM controls/monitors the following functions:
• Audible warnings
• Indicators control
• Interior lighting
• Exterior lighting
• Power/automatic door locks
• Keyless entry
• Content theft deterrent
• Personalization
• Serial Power Modes
• Electrical Power Management

What kind of place did the diagnostics ? Auto part stores ? The BCM - body control module . Takes a proessional or factory scan tool to pull codes from this module .

Hooking up a Tech 2 factory scan tool to see if the BCM will communicate would be the first step in diagnosing this problem ,also checking codes an to see if the scan tool can bidirectionally control the lock's window's etc.. I would suggest a buick dealer !

Buick rendevous security light is on and the radio, power windows and locks will not work but the vehicle starts

You have a BCM issue.
it will have to be replaced.
Take it to a dealer, most independents cannot program new BCMs.
