What would be making continual noise under the dash of my 2007 Toyota Sienna? It sounds like a bunch of clicks and grinding. I have had a few minor electrical problems, such as lights not coming on when the passenger doors open. Don't know if maybe it is a continuing failure of the electrical system. As of now it is only noise, I can't tell that I have any other problems.
I think you lighting issue might be unrelated to the noise. From what I've seen the noise is most likely related to the blend door actuators. If you have dual climate control there is one for driver and passenger side. I've located mine and am getting ready to do the project. There is more info showing up more recently about the actuators in multiple models and makes.

I too had this problem. The first several times i tried the reset process (page 23 of the owners manual) it made no difference.
It appeared to me that the computer did not properly know where the door was actually located. like you , my door would not close. in fact, base on the sound, it sounded like it was trying to open when it was already open. I knew i had to figure out a way to "trick" the computer into relearning where the door was.. as crazy as it sounds
With the battery on, I opened the door with the button, before it could open fully, i closed it again with the button. I did this several times. I also experiment with shutting off the power (using the on/off button) in mid operation. Eventually it would close but pop back open again. At this point, I then did the reset procedure and it worked!
I am not a mechanic but a pretty decent electronic/computer guy. All i know is it worked!

The ground circuit for the driver side door switch is compromised, or the door switch is bad. Try this: Remove the black rubber cover from the door swich. Using a 10 millimeter wrench or socket, loosen & tighten the switch retention bolt. See if the dome light flickers. If so, the ground on the switch is bad, & just needs cleaned up. If not, remove the switch, and touch the wire behind the switch to the body,or the bolt hole. If the dome light lights, you need a door switch. Your problem is entirely in the door switch/ground/wiring. Hope this helps, and thanks for choosing FixYa.

Have 2005 Sienna and its Driver side door was not openning. Cheap dealer fixed it himself in front of me. After opening the doors plastic assembly while sitting inside with a screw driver. Then he bent the clip towards left where the metal wire is connected. If you guys want to see what he did i would record a video and upload for you guys. Let me know at [email protected]

I would guess that you have a stretched or loose serpentine belt. Common problem.

Ok, it could be a few things, 1. bad break caliper. 2. if you have ceramic breaks, it could be a cracked brake pad, and if they are not ceramic they can still be cracked. 3. if you drive a lot then it could be that you need new breaks again.. 4. also have your back breaks checked along with the front ones..
