SOURCE: How to change horn on 1998 montero sport

Just changed my horns on my 98 Montero Sport and come to find out it was the horn relay. The horn relay is located near your power steering resivour its a small black square you will see some electrical lines running to it. Give it a couple taps and then try out your horn again. If that dosnt work your horns are located right behind your turn signals on your front bumper, they are circluar 3in and golden colored. You can get dealer ship replacement horns for 30 plus dollars or go to a autozone or advance auto and get aftermarket ones

SOURCE: my horn doesn't work on my 1998 montero sport

First check the fuse for the horn and see if it is blown. if that is ok, check the switch/button in the steering wheel where you press the horn to see if its making a connection.

Testimonial: "thank you for that i been trying to fix it for a while and nothing work. thanks again"

SOURCE: need radio 'code' for 2000 montero sport with factory cd player

From Mitsubishi's site FAQ's

I need a radio code for my vehicle. How do I get this?
You will need to speak to your Dealer who can organise this on your behalf. You will be required to submit your details and proof of ownership.

By law FixYa can not provide this information.

Why is my Montero stalling out when I slow down to make a turn or when I stop?

Your idle air bypass motor is bad or fouled with carbon deposits. Remove it and clean it with throttle body cleaner . If that don't work replace it

We just bought a 1998 Mitsubishi Montero sport and it has not started the last three mornings, it wont even try and turn over, but later in the day it starts fine. We just replaced the battery and it...

I would start with checking the battery and starter connections. If they seem tight and clean I'd look at the starter itself as the possible culprit.

AHHHHH

Hi

Sounds like the alternator.
Possibly the alternator belt is loose, or a bearing is shot.

Get that mechanic back, and tell him you are not pleased, that you are back to square one, and out of pocket after renewing that battery !

Good Luck !

Don´t forget to give me a Fixya rating please !

John
