SOURCE: car wont start
Do you hear fuel pump turn on? Turn the key to the start, but not all the way, you should here it hum. I have a 91 hatchback and it's right under the backseat. If you hear it, it could be your computer. My car would turn, crank, fuel pump. I finally swapped it w/a friends and it started up just fine. It's still going too. Hope it helps.

SOURCE: replaced ignition switch, now car won't start
Dont panic, you can do this. First you must get a multimeter. Their cheap at harbor frieght 5 bucks. Then check the battery, car off, should be 12 volts. car on 13,14 volts. Possibly the ignition switch wires are touching. That of course would be a short. Also try to jump start the car, if it turns over you found your problem. If not you must start check the connections from the battery. follow the wires, negative to frame, make sure its tight, positive to starter make sure its tight to starter post. Use meter to check for power on the wires. Okay buddy good luck.
