Battery drain on F250

I have a 99 F250, approxiametely 160,000 miles. Initially battery was running high. Determined it was the sensor in the alternator so replaced with a brand new alternator. Now my battery is slowing draining. Any solutions??

Thanks for any input...

Forgot to mention. Replaced battery also, a day after I put on the new alternator.

May have bad cell.. Take to auto parts store and have them check the battery itself..

Do you have a scan tool that you can see sensor data ? What are fuel trims showing ? Is the computer add fuel because of a lean condition ? Are the O2 sensors switching , do you know what that is ? Can a scan tool communicate with the pcm ? If so probably not a bad PCM .What are the IAC valve counts ? Can the PCM control the IAC valve ? Suggest you take it to a qualified repair shop that know's how to diagnose , an not just replace parts .

What needs to be looked at with 160,000 miles,, It's running fine, but I'm taking it in for its regular oil change. What else should be looked at?

I would check all fluids, and definitely brakes, depending on when they were last replaced.I always keep on top of my brake pads because I got sick of replacing rotors when it can easily be prevented.Probably inspect the serpentine belt too for cracks,wear,fraying.2002 with 160K miles,if the belt hasn't been replaced yet,it may be looking shoddy. If the battery hasn't been replaced ever, they should at least measure the voltage while the car is off.The average life for an alkaline battery is 6-7 years.
Good luck! Greg
