Signs blown head gasket

Hi there:
Pay attention. here is the most common symptoms a Blown Head Gasket are:
- Your car is overheating. You know it's not the Fan or Thermostat.
- White Smoke is coming out of the tail-pipe and it smells like Anti-Freeze being cooked.
- The car won't start:
* You have already verified it's not an Ignition System problem because you have Spark coming out at all of the Spark Plug Wires.
* You know it's not a Lack of Fuel, because you have verified that the Fuel Pump is delivering Fuel to the Fuel Injectors.
- The Engine Oil is thick and tan to off-white color.

Hope this helps.

2000 Lincoln LS hesitates and eventually stalls out

If the check engine light is on than the are trouble codes. I wouldmsuspect there is a lean or rich code. I would unplug the MAF sensor and take it for a drive. If the symptom improves on the test drive replace the MAF sensor.

I’m happy to assist further over the phone at

2004 sonata will not start

Filling up the gas tank can stir up the fuel fumes. You may need to check your evap system? I can't rule out bad gas?
When the problem is ongoing, have a helper crank it while you check for spark at the plugs. If spark everywhere, use a gage and check proper fuel pressure and fuel injector pulse. With intermittent issues, need to test when problem is ongoing. How long since a tune-up? Any applicable trouble codes?
Problems at higher rpms, the basics, you check for a blockage of some kind, fuel--air--exhaust.

How do you adjust how much fuel my car is getting when i start it cause it has trouble and when starts it runs rough for a bit till it catches up or i give it gas by pushing the pedal

You cannot adjust the fuel/air ixture on that vehicle. All fuel adjustments are done by the engine computor. The computor does, however, rely on various sensors to determine the amount of fuel delivered. If you have not done it already, give it a spark plug and plug wire tune-up and see if that helps. There can be other causes for your symptoms, but this will be a good place to start.

Where is the fuel filter on a 2003 Chrysler concord

Prior to disconnecting fuel lines, the fuel system pressure must be relieved to prevent accidental spray of fuel.
After the battery has been disconnected and reconnected, some abnormal driveability symptoms may occur. The vehicle may need to be driven while it relearns its adaptive strategy.
Remove the fuel pump relay from the Power D A clogged fuel filter or problems with the electrical system powering the fuel pump can result in symptoms similar to a failed fuel pump. Have the shop verify that the pump is the problem before replacing. The fuel filter should always be replaced when replacing the fuel pump.
A failing fuel pump will not create enough pressure in the fuel system, potentially resulting in a loss of engine power or a "no start" condition. You may also have a lean running condition that can set a diagnostic trouble code and turn on the Check Engine Light.Fuel pumps require replacement if they leak or begin making too much noise, which is a sign of malfunction. the filter is under car connected to fuel lines when you buy new filter just look under car on fuel lines will lead you to it blessings

Throttle body pops when i give the car alot of gas

This is normally a sign of a lean mixture where the fuel injection isn't injecting enough fuel into the engine. It can be from having an inadequate amount of fuel delivered to the engine from the tank, or it can be from the injection system having a malfunction where it isn't injecting enough fuel into the engine. You should start off by checking the trouble codes in the onboard diagnostic system. From there you should check the fuel pressure. Odds are these tests will show a problem and you will know which way to proceed.

When the motor is cold and the outside temperature is below 70 the car will not stay running. Will die with in 30 seconds or so of starting, then you have to wait a minute or two befor the car will start...

Are there any service engine soon lights on associated with this problem?

Possible CTS (Coolant Temperature Sensor) or another sensor giving faulty data for the cool air temperature.

Check spark and gas delivery when cool, below 70 deg. If the spark is not being delivered or the fuel injectors are not delivering fuel at this temperature, it will explain why it doesn't run right until it is warmed up.

My Kia wants to start but sometimes doesn't.

Does it just turn over with no signs of firing?? I would have thought that if it were the cam or crank sensors, it would run **** or even break down while driving, You need to perform some tests on the ignition and fuel systems next time when the car refuses to start to make sure you get a good spark (proving ignition switch), fuel is being delivered to the rail (proving fuel delivery), injectors operating (proving ECU) etc etc. You do have a weird one here I`m afraid. Best of luck, Ian

I had the same symptoms. I had to count the correct number of teeth from the crankshaft pulley to the cam pulley marks. It is a different number of teeth to each pulley. It turns out that I was off by one or two teeth on one cam.
