Replace headlight on a Pontiac Grand Prix

The Grand Prix uses separate bulbs for low beams and high beams. The low beams are located on the outer edge of the headlight assemblies while the high beams are located on the inner edge of the assemblies. With this in mind, locate the position of the burned out bulb prior to replacing it.

2007 pontiac grand prix headlights are not working correctly. High beams work but not low beam. nothing works on automatic. Low beam bulbs have been replaced. Lights worked for one day, then back to not...

I drive a 07 Grand Prix and the low beams randomly went out. Could not get them to come back on, but all of the other lights worked (inside, parking, and high beams). found a forum online that recommended replacing the fuse/thing at location #35 in the fuse box under the hood. It worked immediately!! Got the part at Advanced Auto parts for $35 dollars.

The low beams of my 2006 pontiac grand prix don't work only high beams work

mdsarnes, The first thing that I would check is the fuse for the low beams located in the engine compartment power distribution box. (Fuse box) GM does have a legend written right on the cover so you know which fuse to check. Also, when the low beams are on try and wiggle the connectors to each bulb. If these dont work, replace one bulb and see if it works. If it does then take the same bulb and try it on the other side. If you have a test light then you can test for power at the plugs before you purchase any bulbs. Good luck with this.

Pontiac grand prix 2006 headlight problem

Yes it's the mutifunction switch it needs to be replaced it's the one for the blinker and head lights but if the low beams are going out it's the light switch itself, also expanded ends where the bulb is pluged in could cause this. To fix that you need to remove the connecter and squeeze the conneters together then push them back on. they try it this won't cost you any money, if the stay on your good to go if the go out then if it's the low beams replace the light switch it's not to much $35.00 or so and is easy to replace but would have to tell you how to do that so get back to me and let me know. Thanks for using fixya and please rate me for this free question.
