I have a 1996 Civic. It will not start with the key. I have checked and am not getting power to the start terminal on the solenoid. I bought the Chilton manual for the car. In the diagram there in a relay that must engage for power to get to the solenoid. My question(s) are this; Is there only one switch on the clutch pedal? I can only find one and it tests good. And Where is the relay located? I can't find any relays labeled anything related to clutch. Thanks in advance.

There are usualy relays located in the fuse boxes under the hood. First sugg would be to check those out to make sure one is not bad. Should be labeled on the fuse box top..

Windows won't go down or up also horn was working 1996 honda civic 2 doot

Hey Louis, you'll have to look at a few things to get a grasp of what is going on ,start with fuses , and relays next look for power at switch , make sure ground wires as well are good to into door possible switch is bad , as for the horn they to go bad but look at and check for power also make sure ground is good ,and that relay is good (when you push on horn and have your hand on or near fuse box you should feel a clicking telling you its working ,) a simple power tester will really help.

How to change fuel filter on 1996 Honda Civic

It is located Under hood, center, upper firewall, mounted in fuel line (basically back of dash). Take note of how it is mounted not to install backwards. Unhook battery ground. Unhook two fuel lines one on top one on bottom of filter.Mark fuel lines top/bottom tape helps not to get mixed up. Remove from clamp. place new filter in clamp noting proper top and bottom. replace fuel lines. reattach battery, cycle key on and off 3 times slowly. (when you turn key foreward you will hear pump kick on. when stops turn off. Do again 2 more times then start.

2006 honda civic lx auto sedan will not start. Tried jumping. Tried a new battery. Starter does not turn. No click. dash lights up.

need to check for voltage at the starter. if no volt meter is available, have someone hold the key in the crank position while you tap the starter with small hammer. if it breaks loose, replace the starter. happy holidays
