Depending on the use of the vehicle and the past maintenance schedule.
- Timing belt/chain is overdue
-Air filter/change
-A/C may need charging
-Transmission service depending on automatic or manual. Automatic- it's time, Manual- depends on previous owner.
-spark plugs and wires
-radiator flush and fill
-chassis lube/grease fittings.

These are all things you should do if purchasing a used vehicle with high mileage.
Once again, depends on the upkeep of the maintenance schedule by the previous owner.
That isn't alot of mileage for the year which tells me it probably sat for awhile depending on the owner and its uses I would have it inspected.

Really depends on whether the maintenance has been kept up on it with records and how hard the car has been driven. Hopefully its been taken care of. I'd say a minor tune up. Plugs, wires, oil change. Check and possibly change tranny fluid. It should be good, that engine will go 250,000 - 300,000 miles without much trouble if you take care of it. True story. Hope it helps!

The shop failed to do basic preventative maintenance
such as scan the systems, look at data & possibly road test
The vehicle is a 2000 year you ask about oxygen sensors
& when they were replaced & look at mileage They get changed
at 100,000 miles
You got idle issues
What happened there? They let that go also
Google any codes you get
OBD PO171 etc
I would find a different shop
Tune-Up is no more than spark plugs & that
is preventative maintenance
You don't do a tune-up for a problem
You do spark plugs every 3 years & then you know
when they were done last & proceed to diagnose the
drivabelity issues
These shops will do & sell what ever you ask & then some
to stay in business
They fail to really check your vehicle over completely
you can't install spark plugs & throw on wires you don't need
& expect that to do a thing as far as knowing how the vehicle
is operating.there electronically controlled & need those systems also

What should I get done as part of a tune up on a 2000 Durango with 200,000+ miles and what should I expect to pay?

Spark Plugs are Preventative Maintenance

There is no more ,or anything called a tune-up,
in the last 25 years

All done by the vehicles computer (PCM/ECM)

Not sure--I assume you just bought it!

I have a 95 Isuzu rodeo. The engine makes a loud, almost diesel engine noise. When I am accelerating, the noise seems to go away. When I was shopping for this vehicle, I saw many ads that said their's make...

ATTENTION!! Do not run the engine if you do not want to have to buy an engine!! I just solved this problem with my own 95 Rodeo the problem you are having is common on 95 rodeo with 3.2 L engine. Failure of the hydralic timing belt tensioner will allow the tensioner pulley to knock against the top of the tensioner unit ( inside timing cover lower left side of crank pulley little cylinder looking part ) held in by 2 bolts when you take it off if you can depress the button its bad . Dealer has part for $110.00, so go to auto zone but they dont have it listed for 95 rodeo have them look up timing belt tensioner for 95 honda passport $76.95 takes 2 days VDO (Vendor Order only) not a very hard job have fun dont forget to change the timing belt and water pump for good measure after the complete job is done you should not have to worry about it for another 70,000 miles.have a good day

2001 Passport transmission, rack and pinion replaced at 65K miles

Let's start with some facts. Honda, until 2006, didn't build any "trucks". Your Honda Passport actually began life in the Isuzu Rodeo assembly line. This isn't necessarily a bad thing, just no what you were expecting.
Isuzu makes very reliable trucks, but I think you've just had a run of bad luck. My 95 Isuzu Rodeo was retired after 275,000 miles, but only because some moron rear-ended me very severely, and it wasn't worth repairing, body-wise.
My 5-speed manual needed to be replaced at about 240,000, but the V-6 engine had never been cracked open for any major work. It did, however, have a somewhat loose rack/pinion.

Isuzu Tune up

Spark plugs every 100,000 miles, air and fuel filter 30,000 miles, inspect ignition system components when plugs are changed, replace as necessary.

you guessed it right at 60,000 miles there is a major service due. The service consists of flushing all fluids, tire rotation, and a complete tune up with a top end clean, and a fuel injection clean. Apptox $350 to $400.
