While stationery when I turn the steering wheel revs go up then come down
You should not be turning the steering wheel
while the vehicle is not moving, hard on suspension
& steering parts
There is a sensor that is adjusting the idle,
as you do what your doing
That is to change power steering pressure,
to make it easier to get into a parking space
This should be expected if you have power steering. The movement of steering wheel in stationery is demanding power which is drawn by revs going up in the engine. Make sure you have adequate level of steering fluid in the reservoir. Check your cars maintenance manual for the type of oil. If there is a burned oil smell then it needs to be bleeded and refilled. Will require a mechanic to do that.
SOURCE: whining noise when turnins steering wheel &
is the noise from the top of the steering column inside the car?? slight sort of noise,if so then leave well alone its a fault of the model and they all do it,including mine .
