They can easily show you that the ECD is not working by using their computer diagnostics tools. The ECD aka. ECU (electronic control unit) manages your engine. If the ECD is busted the computer diagnostics tool will easily determine the problem. If your dealership doesn't have computer diagnostics, you might want to bring your car to another shop with computer diagnostics to have it checked... never agree to whatever your mechanic says... always get yourself a second opinion..

It is located at the enine end of the lower radiator hose inside the metal piece atttached to the engine. the metal piece has 3 bolts to take off that attach it to the engine. I took off the fan and fan shroud for easy access. this is fora 95 xe 4 cylinder.
