Question about 2001 Oldsmobile Alero
2001 Olds Alero
THe A/C works but only blows on the last two(highest) blower settings. Was told a resistor is out (I already checked fuses) so I bought the part. However I cannot find where it is located even after taking apart the console. Any suggestions where to look??
Hi the blower motor is under the right side of the dash
remove the hush pannel
you don't have to remove the blower motor but it does give you more room
disconnect the wiring to the resistor there are two 5.5mm bolts that hold the resistor in
remove the bolts and slide the resistor out
install the new resistor and reassemble
hope this helps

If the blower motor is under the hood, the resistor pack will be next to the motor. It will be a connector with 3 or 4 wires going into it. If the blower motor is on the inside, the resisitor pack will be located behind the passenger side hush panel directly below the glove box.
I can't remember off hand when they made the switch from outside to inside.
Good luck, let me know.
