Where's the low A/C recharge valve in 1995 GMC Suburban?

A/C is not working in 1995 GMC Suburban. Was going to buy recharge kit but cant find the valve with the H or L on it where it goes. Could I not have air conditioning at all? But my controls inside have A/C option it just blows warm air. Any help finding the valve is greatly appreciated, I have kids and its HOT!!

The valve will be under your hood, on a line that runs from your AC pump, and it will have a blue cap on it. It's about three times as big as a tire valve cap. It sounds like you should let someone else do it.

What type of freon is in GMC trucks of 1987?

R12.... In 1994 R134a was required, but some changed earlier. Yours may have been converted. If the service ports are threaded it still has R12. Hope this helps.

1995 ford taurus how do I charge freon myself and

mcdevito75 here, I have a 96" and yes you can charge the A/C yourself and you can use the 134A, the Charge port is on 1 of the metal lines comming out the firewall mine is on the metal line just about 6--7 inches from the firewall, the kit you buy for recharge will only fit this low side port, also follow the cans directions very carefully. there may be a screw down cap on this port simply unscrew this cap, port will look similar to the air valve on your tires.

I see two valves on my ac compressor for my 1995 saturn sl2. Which one do you us to recharge the air condiotioner?

the connector for the rechage kit you have should only connect to one place. the low pressure side. may I ask why are you recharging. the only reason you should be recharging is because it has a leak. I would suggest using a leak kit first. there mabe an oring leak

I have 1995 Chevy pick-up that the a/c clutch will not engage and there is no power at the compressor? What should I check?

needs to be recharged/leak fixed. the clutch wont engage because you are low on refrigerant. I'd go to wally world and get a recharge kit and then i bet it'll work.

I bought a 2005 GMC Sierra 1500 No A/C. Where can I buy an AC KIT

You can get a A/C recharge kit at Auto Zone, Parts Source, or Wal-Mart. There are also a recharge canister with stop leak in with it, but this is only a quick fix for a while. Sometime in the distance future, your going to have to get the system Vacuumed to get the moisture out of the system that accumulates after a few years.
Good luck and hope this help, just follow the instructions and you'll be fine. Don't over charge the system, you'll blow O rings or have a compressor failure.

A/C Cluth not working-replaced Cycling Switch already

the system has a definite leak and should be fixed then the system should be recharged there is a pressure switch that keeps the clutch from engaging when the system is low on freon which keeps from burning up the compressor
