Question about 2001 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD
I have a 2001 Duramax 6.6 Turbo Diesel that wont start. The batteries were run low (not sure how) so I had them on a charger for a while. They now read 12.7 volts, but I cat get the engine to run. Also the fuel gauge reads Empty although there is approx 1/2 tank of fuel. Any ideas?
Does it have duel tanks? if so switching valve could be bad also it has two fuel pumps one primary and one secondary if the primary fuel pump is bad it would have ran sluggish and have lack of power it is not cheep the Main pump is $400.00 for a rebuilt and my guess it's the pump but check the fuel rail pressure and see what the pressure is that will give you an ideal
