Squealing noise coming from under the dash on 2001 Dodge Ram 1500

I have been hearing a squealing noise coming from under the glove box on a 2001 Dodge Ram 1500 V8 5.9L. It gets louder when you turn the heat or air up.

I have an 02 Dodge Ram 1500 ,2wd.Whenever I turn left,my truck makes a squealing noise, like a worn brake pad.Checked all brakes,ok.Cant figure out what or where noise is coming from

You could easily have a front wheel bearing going bad. They tend to get louder when turning. The squeal can be from the bearing itself, or possible from the brake rotor rubbing on the brake stone guard behind the rotor when turning. That rubbing won't occur unless there is excessive play in the wheel bearing or if the guard is bent.

Honda Accord 2001 EX, makes squealing noise when heater is on

Is the squealing coming from inside the car or under the hood? The A/C compressor runs when the defroster is on. If the belt is loose or worn, it will squeal. The blower is really the only moving part under the dash. If the noise is coming from there, you likely have a bad blower motor.

Location of fuse box Ram 1500

Depends on the year of your Ram 1500; there is one under the hood, and 1 or 2 others inside the cab. One of the locations is at the end of the dash, you can only access it when you open the door all the way; another (depending on the year) is behind the passenger side kick panel; another (again depending on year) is behind the glove box; you don't have to take the glove box out to get to it.

99 ram 5.2 liter noise under hood got louder when rained, replaced Surpentine belt tension wheel, pully, and belt. noise is still there.

If your belt is still squealing then you have a pulley contaminated with oil or coolant which will just cause it to keep squealing. Do not use a belt dressing as they are temporary and ruin the belt. Remove you belt and scrub the ribs of the belt with a mild soap. Then scrub off all the belt pulleys and rinse. Reinstall the belt and your problem should go away.

Remove dash to get to sensore for blower on 2002 dodge ram 1500 the blower only works on high

If the blower motor is only running on high the problem is the blower motor resistor. location for resistor is behind the glove box. Remove all items in glove box. remove glove box from dash and to the left of the blower motor you will see a electrical plug, remove the plug and the resistor mounting bolts. remove the resistor and replace it with new resistor. reinstall all items as you have taken them off. hope this will help you.
