I just replaced a new rear ac evaporator in my 2006 town and country mini van and i need to know how to charge the ac

you are best to take it to a shop that does a/c work to have them evacuate and vacume the system to remove all the air out of the system then recharge it.as moisture will cause problems in the system.also the R134 freon that the system uses is far more dangerous to humans than R12 and can cause serious health problems with little inhalation of the gas.

your clue that it is ridiculously hot indicates that the problem is in the climate control module
it indicates that it is cycling the thermostat or you have a faulty thermostat that is cycling the climate control module
take it to an accredited ac specialist shop for a proper diagnosis

Rear air went blew out try to replace rings on block. Found out that the torque bolts were stripped out. Yay. So I would like to block the rear lines and use front A/c only. Is this possible?

you should just be able to not run the rear ac, if this is not an option with your van, then yes you can 'cap' off the rear ac lines and just run the front, but it takes some planning and recharging.

There is a known issue with these lines on Chrysler vehicles with the rear heat/AC.

A customer satisfaction program exists to make some of these repairs at little or no cost. Contact your local dealer to see if this applies to your vehicle. Have your vans VIN number handy.

Rear Air Conditioning

Check under the right side of the vehicle. look for green oil near right rear wheel area. sometimes the lines rub and start leaking. will have to replace lines if that is the case.

Town & Country 2007 LX model aircondition not working

It does have air conditioning installed. It may also have rear a/c. The rear a/c evaporator is probably leaking freon. I have replaced many rear evaporators on 2006 and 2007 Chrysler minivans as a result of a design change in 2006. Recharge the a/c and add dye to the system. If it has rear air, look behind the right rear wheel in the fender area under the car where the a/c lines go into the body.
