Front brakes on 1999 grand am grinding. what do i do

exactly, new brake pads for sure. Next time check the brakes BEFORE they start grinding, if the grinding just started, you can probably get by without rotors this time.

What are front spindals

If you are looking at what i think you are the front spindles are actually called knuckles, they are the basis of your front suspension. The strut connects to the top of them, the tie rods connect to the front side of them and they also hold your wheel bearings, brakes, and cv shafts.

150,000 mile service for a 1999 Pontiac Grand Am SE??

150,000 you should have the brakes checked, check brake lines, tune up (spark plugs, wiers, air filter, ect.) rotate your tiers replace if needed, oil change, be sure to change your cabbin filter to, most people don't know that their car has a cabin filter. The shop should tell you exactly what they would do to it.
