Question about 2000 Chrysler Town & Country

1 Answer

2005 Chrysler T&C Front Blower Inop

Rear AC works. Front doesn't blow on any setting.
1) Fuse good.
2) Relay good (swapped w/ new one).
3) Continuity through fan resistor is good (not "open").
3) Blower motor good (swapped w/ new one). That was a pain in the ****.... Continuity through fan firing is good (not "open").
3) Power at pins for fan mower (~10v) all the time; regardless if AC is on or not, but fan doesn't turn.

Sorry for the typos, btw. Also, I tested the fan motor with 10v and the fan runs fine. Could I be dropping the necessary current somewhere?

I have exactly the same issue with my 05 T&C. Did you ever solve this issue?

Rear ac doesn't blow air

Power goes thru the rear blower relay, then the resistor and motor. The fan control switch provides the ground connection. I would check the rear blower relay if power is questioned at the blower motor.

My pacifica is not blowing air in the front, only in the rear, what can I do?

If it is like the mini vans you will find a small board with two plugs behing the glove box. This is the speed control for the blower motor. Remove the plug with 2 wires. This is the plug going to the blower motor. With the AC turned on measure the voltage at the 2 terminals of the board. The terminals you just removed the plug from. It should read about 12 volts. If it reads 12 volts then the blower motor is bad. There is a fuse and a relay for the blower ckt in the fuse box. Your owners manual will show you where. But if you have 12 volts at the terminals I just mention then they are ok.

Front ac not blowing

Sound like you have a failed fan motor assembly. Check for power to the fan motor connector.

Rear A/C does not work. it will not come on, front works fine but rear does not do anything, front driver control turned to rear pass operation NADA,front control turned for driver control NADA, cannot...

since you know where the blower motor relay is for the rear, have someone turn on the switch while you touch the relay. if you feel a click then the relay is good an trying to turn the rear blower on. that would mean you have a bad blower motor or bad blwer motor resistor for the rear unit.

Front AC blower doesn't work.

Your blower motor may be going or the fan.

Heater stopped working today. Rear still working but not alot.

2005 Chrysler T&C Van. My front blower also stopped working overnight. Rear blower works fine. I swapped the 40A fuse in the underhood fuse box with the 40A fuse for the power seats since I don't have power seats. No help. I then swapped the front blower relay with the spare relay in the same box. No help. I'm wondering if there is a reset button for the blower and if so where it may be. Any hint or help with the blower would definiely be appreciated. Thanks

Rear AC

Your local auto parts store should have or be able to get the HAYNES Manual for the Expedition. I just bought one at Advanced Auto Parts to deal with a different A/C problem with my 2000 Expedition and it has great wiring diagrams & troubleshooting for the A/C among other problems.

The 2000 Expedition actually has "3" blowers. One front, one in the middle under the center console and one aft on the drivers side of the far rear panel. Sounds like it could be the center blower that's causing your problem. I think that blower is on Fuse 7. (Sorry - My Hayes manual is outside in the truck!)

Good luck! I hope it helps!
