If you are still getting power an possible power drain, then there is an open circuit or short somwhere. It could be anywhere. It may be a stuck relay, like in the ignition system, or a faulty wire in radio or other component. The only way to tell is to use a multi-tester and test any connections with car off to see if the wire is getting power.

Battery light flashes and engine cuts out whilst driving.

Has to b the battery,if you changed the alternator then the batter isnt supplying any power to your sensors and computer. if your battery is weak the car might run at idle, but as soon as your drive your useing more draw. swap out a battery from a friend and you should b good.

Truck turns over slow and then fast like it wants to start

have the batter load tested as there is a weak cell. the initial start is slow because the power drain is at the greatest in starting to turn the engine but once it starts turning the current draw is less so the battery appears to be able to cope.

My 2010 Toyota 4runner will not start. The power seats move and the lights come on, but i only get a 'clicking' sound when i turn the key.

Could still be a weak battery. The power seats and lights will use less draw than the starter motor. The relay is the clicking noise that you have and is probably because the batter is low. My recommendation is to have someone try jump starting the truck. You should be all set.

My starter turns low. i checked every thing the batter is good, the charging is good, what is wrong? if i change the stater is it hard to put on?

sounds like we need a starter motor current draw test to evaluate ur starters condition.this can b done at any shop w a charging an starting system analyzer.if ur stater is drawing more than250 amps to325a or even higher amperage draw ur starter motor is bad..on a northstar the starter is under ur intake manifold, not an easy job,if u have the other caddy motor then starter can b changed from under car. not too bad to change,on a lift of course

After not useing truck foe a week or so batter goes dead dealer ship can not find out why. had it in for that many times.

It should be pretty easy to find a draw in the system. Using an amp meter connected in series between the battery positive post and the battery positive cable end you should see no more than .050 amps and more realistically less than .025 amps. Any more than that and there is enough draw to drain the battery in a weeks time.

I’m happy to assist further over the phone at

Battery is down Discharged and car won't start when jumped. It will try but just can't quite make it.

Yes in some cases it can run off alternator but your car still need to be hooked up to the batter. In some other cases you still need some of a charge in the battery because your car is drawing more current than what your alternator puts out when starting. If the battery is more than 4 years old it might need to be replaced. Take it to a local auto parts store and have them test the batter if possible. If you are using a cheap small wired jumper cable it might not be allowing enough current to start the other car.

Batter drain

check your standing current draw put an amp gauge between the negative battery term and the battery negative post check for current draw anything over 1amp is not good pull the fuses one by one until the fault goes away that will be the faulty part or wiring

No charge to battery

the starting /charging system is interrelated ....check amp draw of sure ALL grounds on engine alternator starter battery are clean and tight...also you could have a parasitic electrical leak...disconn neg side to battery and put test light in line..should be faint light for radio and computer..nothing more..if it burns bright you have something drawing power when system is off..pull fuses one at a time to discover where ....good luck
